As he lay dying from throat cancer the last several months before his death at a federal prison in Springfield, Mo in 2002 President Geoge Bush should have done the honorable thing and pardoned Gotti so he could have been able to go home and spend his few remaining days with his family.

Here was a man that was persecuted Gestapo style by so called criminal justice system for doing nothing more than exercising his rights as an Italian American. Phony evidence, an admitted mass murderer and being denied the legal right to fair representation were the only reason for the phony conviction.

What does it say about this country when Oliver North could have been elected senator and Gotti was given less rights at his trial than Timothy McVeigh?

What does it say about Bush to have Cheney as his running mate? Or to say at a Press Confc a few weeks ago that Rumsfeld is "really a nice person"?

When judgement day comes I hope to heck that Cheney aint the guy right in front of me cause they roll out his list of screwjobs to mankind and grab a seat cause that list aint short ....

There are folks in life who really are smart ... Cheneys folks for naming him "Dick" must have known early on they had produced a real winner !

I agree Hilo, from what I know of Gotti he was a stand up guy who took care of his nieghborhood. So he had a few guys "wacked", they probably deserved it. Bush does that and he's fighting a war on "terror". Gotti does it and gets life.

Actually, I just like to get The Blighted Troll out from under his bridge occasionally to huff and puff that's all.

Many people die in prison, why should Gotti be any different. The President of the United States cannot go around on a daily basis and pardon inmates on their death beds. I don't see this as an issue the President can be concerned with. I'm certain 1000's are currently dying in prison this minute, who should be released? The rich and famous or the ones that scream the loudest. It's not possible to pardon a few and not the rest and it's not possible to do it for everyone. Just another silly shot at Bush.

KB - this is the left we're dealing with. The criminal is just a poor misguided victim while the victim is the real criminal.

They're all serious about these things.

Bblight and his Anal followers would be very familiar with the terminology "The criminal" ...

I can only think of one President with a Police Record ...

Bush has been arrested AT LEAST 2 TIMES that I can recall

Mullah,

Are you suggesting everyone in prison that has a cold be released or the ones that have a couple of months to live. Does Bush review all the millions of inmates medical records and decide who should be released or should he release the rich and famous? It's silly nonsense.

Thanks bblight - I just had to ask as Gotti is not one of the more celebrated criminals of the left such as Mumia.

KB,

Some times they will bring you to tears with laughter. Some of the silly sh!t they come up with is comedy central material. This is just the latest, the poor little criminals actually have to stay in jail.

Were you reading this site during the election? It was a riot.

Burris, Senior (aka Gameface) ...

did I say that @ all? Coutler used a term which fits Bush since he is the Only President who could fit into a Police Lineup with his previous ARRESTS (not the S at the end .. that means more than one time)

The "victims" were also mafia types weren't they? From what I understand the mafia actually tries to avoid collateral damage unlike dumb bombs.

Unfortunately, I had not found this site before the election. Not to open a can of worms but I am surprised I don't see more conspiracies about voter fraud and how Bush stole the election. During and after the election I was perusing the democratic underground. As a matter of fact my first post here, my kerry endorsement, was a reprinting of my original post on the democratic underground right before the election. I was kicked off immediately. Therefore, if doc supposedly found where I had cut and pasted from he would have had to been on the democratic underground for the ten minutes it was posted on election eve before it was taken down and I was kicked off. And I can safely say that the people on the democratic underground are even more delusional than the people here except for doc.

KB,
They sung that song for a few days and pretty much adandoned ship when their hero michael mooron said Bush won. Many liberals on this site just knew Kerry had won after the fake early exit polls. It was the funniest ever.

Burris:

Speaking of the word delusional ... that would accurately describe your situation since you appear to be in THE MINORITY AROUND HERE in regards to thinking Bblight Coulter is actually sharp

Not that I care about Gotti, but if he actually killed people, why does it matter if his victims were criminals? We're not supposed to make such a distinction. Unless it was proven that he was wrongly convicted, there's no reason to expect him to be pardoned, dying or not.
