American, try to be objective for a moment. Kerry won this debate tonight, period. Deal with it. You can support Bush, think he's better and all that, and still recognize the reality here that Kerry scored tonight. Where it goes from here, we'll see, but Kerry scored tonight. Deal with it.

Public speaking is difficult ! Witness most any jock, with a microphone in front of him... how about Mike Tyson ?
I won't be voting, never have, never will. The whole electoral college thing turned me off in grade school. Count the popular vote, not electoral. Too many states are already in the pocket of one or the other candidate. Why vote if your vote doesn't count ? It would truly count, but for the electoral college.

I am beyond flabbergasted that anyone in here is defending Bush's performance. That might have been one of the worst displays of public speaking (leadership my ass) I've seen in a long time. Embarassing that this is the President of the United States.

Dante, I want both. Those qualities are not mutually exclusive. Isn't Bush who says you can't lead if you don't speak clearly on the issues? If I want a guy to run the country right I surely wouldn;t vote for Bush. Only reason to vote for Bush is if you want a stubborn jackass for the rest of the world to hate. Or if you're a multi-millionaire and need a tax cut.
not sure if he won the debate or not. kerry is clearly a more polished public speaker than bush. if kerry did win the debate, it was a narrow victory. certainly not the blow out he needed to sway voters.D2bets said:
