For some reason, I can't get a CD to burn, using files from my computer, I can burn CDs by just putting one into the dvd drive and burning it to the disk in the RW drive, but just having a disk in the RW drive, then nothing, it wont play in my car, not on any stereos, it will play in some sort of program on this computer though. It used to not do that, it kind of came out of nowhere. anybody have any ideas?

when you burn from one cd to another, it automatically should be putting a copy onto the computer in a temporary file.

look around for it.

could be lots of things depending on what cdrw software you use.

i could be that you are burning re-write cds which have a different system of writing on the cd than normal burn once cds that play in all normal cd systems, re writables only play in more up to date equipment.

if you have an older cd-rw, you may need to convert the music files from mp3 to wav. downloads.com has a program for doing that.

My suggestion is if you are copying audio cd's I would stop doing that & instead extract the audio cd to your hard drive & burn from the computer as you have less chance for error. You can do this with the best extractor in my opinion, EAC (Exact Audio Copy)

If they are downloaded off the net, did you convert them to the wave format?

probably, but just thought I would try and help.

thats a possibilty scoob, ill check into that, my computer crashed a while back and i had someone save all my stuff, which cost a shitload of money, maybe that is why it is able to play on the computer in one of the programs because they are mp3 files. but i never had a problem with this before my computer crashed, so i assumed everything was automatically converted already? dont really know much about this stuff. Thanks everyone
