The Sabres have dropped five of their last six games with the most recent being a 5-4 shootout loss to the Capitals on Wednesday night. But with the glaring exception of a 10-4 blowout at the hands of the Stars, the Sabres have been nip and tuck in all of these games, losing by one goal in each and every one. Buffalo’s only win was a 4-3 victory over the always-dangerous Maple Leafs.
Fortunately for them, they will be getting a cakewalk on Friday night when they battle the Flyers, a team that has dropped eight of its last nine and has been outscored 36-14 over that span. Although the Sabres don’t have much of a defense, the Flyers don’t have much of an offense. But speaking of offense, Buffalo ranks 3rd in goals scored and should have an easy time of it tonight.
