Yes another thread. My play is UB +16 for tonight. I think the line is inflated due to public perception. Vegas is very smart. They no joe public will think of last week and how UB lost to Kent and Ball crushed W.Mich. Perception is how can UB compete with a team like Ball St. when they can't even beat Kent St.? The result? 65% or so on Ball St. tonight. IMHO, Vegas got exactly what they wanted, public on Ball St.

Reality vs. Perception. UB had nothing to gain from that game. They were in MAC championship no matter what so why put it all out there when they have Ball State coming up. Ball St. did still have something to play for, an undefeated season. W. Mich had only the chance to knock off an undefeated team to play for, which, let's face it, isn't always a great motivator.

UB is 6-0 ATS as a dog this season. Amazing stat that should be looked at. This includes covers at Pitt and at Missouri. Yes they got beat soundly, but they covered.

Play is UB +15.5 to +16 (whatever you can find). Play it and see you at the window!!

I don't think you can understate the emotional aspect of this game for UB either. Since joining D 1A, they have been a poor excuse for a football program. They have it turned around and have their first shot at a MAC title. This will be very helpful, IMO, to get at least the cover. I look for UB's emotion to carry them to an early lead. As stated in another thread, Ball St. will feel pressure tonight. If UB does in fact get an early lead, look for Ball to tighten up a bit.

I guess it's all in the way you choose to look at the information. Teams that over achieve or get to their first championship game and are clearly the underdog often give a good effort but eventually lose and subconsciously give up and rest on the fact that they got as far as they did or accomplished more than ever before and just feel good about that success. Clearly the talent level is different here and Buff just getting to this game is enough for them right now. Ball St will run away with this one to the tune of 50-24 or something in that neighborhood. The Buffalo Bulls will do the same thing the Buffalo Bills did in their Superbowls, lose to better teams, JUST kidding, but the results will the same.
Just my thoughts. GL

:pope: Very Good Point, a point many fail to realize. UB bball almost beat #2 UConn last night. UB athletics is fired up. Won't win. Will cover.

ball state 56
buffalo 35
the 6-0 stat is a good one but the likelyhood of 7-0 is less likely to happen than to happen ball state gives up yards but not points. if this game was outside i would take buffalo in a heartbeat but, indoor game is probably the biggest adv. for ball state to score on every possesion for a while and buffalo will not be able to keep up

:lol::lol::lol:

OH COME ON !!!!! Are you serious ? just give up and say well we made it this far lets just go out there have fun and party after the game.......I dont think so baby......is this how you really see these scenarios? man ....I am astonished at some of the stuff that I read these days. This has to be one of the poorest attempts at looking for an edge to a game that I have read in a long time. This is pitiful imformation.

Now if you really want some good imfo here is how I see this game and the final pudding on the pie that made me take BUFF +15.

First of all and very interesting ......because so many of you guys have been saying silly things like Ball St runs away with this by 50 points !!!! HA!!!! and that they will score on every possesion ....????? Are you smoking some really good bud? I think so ......those comments are absurd and that will not happen.

Buffalo has yet to be blown out this season except for Missouri back in se;ptember and I believe that left a nasty taste in thier mouths and rightfiully so. since then it has not happened ....losses all within 3, 2 and 6points. Buff does not give up ......they will bring it bring it and being it to ball St untill the end of the game .

Now except for 1 over time game ....only Missouri was able to put up in excess of 28 points.....hmmmm.....now of the last 10 games ....4 went into overtime........well wellwell.......this should give them some credit and should be considered strongly before popping off at something like the win 50-14....

Now lets just state some facts about Ball state,

This scoring machine that some posters here have made them out to be have yet to put up 50 on anyone this season , and I seriously doubt that Buff will be the first unless its Overtime and well then BUFF is the pick for tonight. They will score no doubt ...but I think 38 points max......thats 5 TD's and a FG. Under 38' for ball state is a play .
Now if they only score 38 points and they are giving up 15 ...welll I highly advise you to ask yourself...." will Buff score 24 points? that is the question here.....WILL BUFF SCORE 24 POINTS.

I believe that Buff will score between 21-24 points and to to keep this game within 10 points at all times. In no way will Ball State run away wiyth this game.

Final score Ball State : 35-21

I have been saying all week, that an early lead is key to this game. I know Ball State came out last game pretty strong, but the few games prior that was not such a case. If UB can get up by 10 points early on, or even 2TD's that would be key....Also, as you mentioned, the emotional factor. They have a coach that believes in them, and they will give it their all tonight, all night long. I look for Willey to have a stellar game :103631605

I was hoping this would have happened, as no doubt the football team would have been even more fired up......where you from?
