I just copied this post from my original post because I don't know how to change the title. I wanted the season to go in thread rather than starting a new one each day.
Well I've been seeing an awful lot of ppl coming up with formulas and systems so I've been working on one of my own. It took my about 4 days to get it down with all the stats and tracking from the beginning of the year.
My plays will fall into one of two categories. There will by 3 unit plays and 5 unit plays. One unit for me is $200 (this is a to win number). Without getting into detail, the magic numbers are 4 and 6. Between 4 and 5.99 are 3 units and 6 and over are 5 units. Much like most of the systems and forumulas I've seen, there will not be plays every night. This is a purely objective system and numbers based. There is no thought or emotion involved. I look at the matchup, compare to the forumula numbers and if a green light, its a play. Also, unlike some other systems I've seen, there is no disqualifiers. If the numbers match, it's a play. In fact, the spread doesn't even mean anything with this system. We'll see how it works in "real life". Feel free to keep track of this and if it works and gets hot, I hope you'll all join in.
Now for the first plays of this system.
Bucks +4 3 units (value is 5.69)
Cleveland -10 5 units (value is 7.52)
BTW, value is an arbitrary term used to show the strength of the play, it is not really "line value" in the traditional meaning. If this system goes well, I will explain it in detail, but if it ends up failing, no point in going into how it works.
