Britt Hume is one disgusting American ... same media Bushie clown who said the following:

Brit Hume, a conservative news anchor on the right-wing Fox News Channel, continued his staunch support for the Republican Party when he told critics of President Bush--including families of American soldiers killed in his Iraq war--to "just get over it", on the 28 March 2004 edition of Fox News Sunday.
Hume defended Rumsfeld's falsehood as "quite thoughtful," "pretty reasonable"

brit-hume.jpg
FOX News managing editor and chief Washington correspondent Brit Hume praised Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld's false claim that the lack of armored vehicles in Iraq is "a matter of production." Hume called Rumsfeld's response to a question about the lack of armor at a December 8 "town hall" meeting with U.S. soldiers "a pretty reasonable answer" and chastised the media for focusing only on Rumsfeld's initial remark that "you go to war with the Army you have ... not the Army you might want." In fact, Rumsfeld's "reasonable" claim -- that the shortage is a result of production capacity -- was false, as numerous follow-up reports by the news media pointed out. Armor Holdings, the Army's main supplier of armored vehicles, told the media it was capable of producing more such vehicles if the Pentagon requested them, which the Pentagon in fact did two days later.

On the December 20 edition of Fox Broadcasting Company's FOX News Sunday, Hume defended Rumsfeld from recent criticism by Republican senators and conservative pundits by claiming that outrage over Rumsfeld's remark to Specialist Thomas Wilson -- who asked Rumsfeld about the shortage of armor -- that "you go to war with the Army you have ... not the Army you might want" has obscured the "thoughtful" and "reasonable" part of Rumsfeld's answer:

HUME: The answer to Specialist Wilson -- that comment about "you go to war with the army you have, not the one you wish you have" -- if you think about it for a second, is a truism. It's obvious. The rest of the answer was quite thoughtful and took very seriously the question that was asked and gave what, looked at in its totality, was pretty reasonable answer to that. Most of which, of course, has gotten lost because of that dandy quote.

As Media Matters for America noted, armored vehicle manufacturers directly contradicted Rumsfeld's claim, as many news outlets noted in follow-up reports on Rumsfeld's remark. A December 10 Cox News Service article reported that Armor Holdings is not producing such vehicles at full capacity. A December 10 New York Times article similarly reported that Armor Holdings is working at less than full capacity. And two other reports -- December 9 Bloomberg News article and a December 10 Boston Globe article -- noted that Armor Holdings has been waiting for months for Pentagon approval to increase production, which the company could do by as much as 22 percent.

Now lets shift our focus to Chris Matthews.

It was election day 2004 around 6 CST when Christopher Matthews was believing the exit polls. He asked a Bush backer if GW knew that he was likely going to get beat in the election. The repub basically said GW thought he was going to win. Matthews pounced on him and said something to the effect that HE ( Chris Matthews ) could tell be the way GW had been CARRYING himself Monday that he knew he was going to lose. Yes, Chris Matthews said he could tell by the look on GW face, that first day of November, that he knew he was in bad shape. I'de love to get ahold of the tapes from CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox on election day afternoon, early evening. Also, some behind the scenes videos from demi headquarters of the tear wiping from November 2 to the 3rd would be sweet!

Matthews at least has a personality when he is on the air .. Hume is like listening to paint dry

Again, Matthews has never insulted Dead American Soldiers like Britt Hume

The hand wringers would have surrendered quickly in WW2. I don't believe we won a battle the first year. 10's of thousands were KIA, the limp wristed never change. The Battle of the Bulge saw 500 a day KIA. One soldier lost is too many, perspective is necessary.

Doc, Hume was not referring to the deaths of servicemen, when he said "Just get over it". Quit twisting his words to fit your left wing agenda. Doc, if you don't like it, CHANGE THE CHANNEL. Judging by MSNBC's ratings as opposed to Fox News, looks like many have, just in the opposite direction.

the Flappin Bushies are disgusting ... really are with their attitude of "Holier than Thou" crap and how the Media is blowing things out of proportion in Iraq

Again, I am an American and to see our kids dying daily in a hellhole that was invaded under lies by the administration is totally disgusting and defending this administration right now makes me wonder who the real traitors are to this country?

Why is that so many Americans considered exit polls on Nov 2 to be unreliable, yet the US gov't uses the exit poll results in the Ukraine to denounce the results there?

And, just for fun, I'll add the following devoid-of-any-serious-meaning-or-relevance-to-this-thread statement: did you know that the VPrez of Diebold and the CEO of ES&S, the two vote-counting corps, are brothers?

Several people on this board were quite sure during the afternoon of 11/2 that Kerry would win. And some of them had bets on bush. The exit polls were showing Kerry with about a 3 point lead nationally and a good lead in both Ohio and Florida.
There are so many anomolies with the Ohio vote count you have to be a blind bush backer to not see the thievery. But the sheeple allowed the rethugs to steal the election in 2000 so this comes as no suprise. I've put money where my mouth is and support the efforts of BlackBoxVoting.org. No expectation of having this debacle reversed but there will be another election in '06 and there needs to be election reform before then.

Walden O’Dell, chief executive of Diebold and a top fundraiser for the Bush campaign, wrote in a fund-raising letter last year that he was “committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year.”

I nominate Britt Hume for asswipe commentary for 2004 ... and stop defending this flappin clown cause we have over 1200 kids dead due to the flat out lies used by Bush as his reasons for invading and occupying Iraq ... it is Christmas and 1200 plus families have kids underground and I find it very offensive for actually defending actions of clowns like Britt Hume ...

When asked on-air about the criticism Bush had received, from Democrats and families of American soldiers killed in Iraq, concerning jokes about non-existent WMD during a White House event, Mr. Hume unsurprisingly defended Bush, calling his harshly-criticized jokes a "good-natured performance".Mr. Hume then said of those critical of Bush's WMD jokes, including families of American soldiers killed on the premise that such weapons existed, that "you have to feel like saying to people, 'Just get over it'."

If Ted Kennedy had said that about the WMD rethugs would be running around with their hair on fire screaming censure, censure!

Did you know also that Diebold makes ATMs, checkout scanners, and ticket machines, all of which log each transaction and can generate a paper trail?

Why, yes I did. And also know all of this was known well before the elections. And that attempts to have a paper trail were shot down by Denny Hastert.

Here's another thought about politics, governments, and world events... You can also take Trent Lott, John Macain, Arlen Spector, and Orrin Hatch with your party down the tubes. Those four are nothing more than a Jumping Jim Jeffers.

Yes, Joint, looking forward to the 2006 elections already, as we'll increase the majority in the house and senate even more. Doc, Hume wasn't talking about the servicemen's death, he was talking about people still arguing against Bush going to war in the first place. He was saying in effect that the decision has been made, no need to rehash the original decision, but instead figure out how to crush the insurgency. Now if you can't figure that out, God help you. Quit twisting around what he is saying to further your wacked out left wing socialist agenda.

Those four are what is regarded as moderate rethugs, unlike the wingnuts now in power. I don't despair because given enough time and rope your kind will hang themselves. Enjoy your power trip while it lasts, but don't forget the Dems felt invincible in their power at one time;)

Let me quote Hume: told critics of President Bush--including families of American soldiers killed in his Iraq war--to "just get over it"

He is a jackass ... he defends Bush joking about not finding WMD"s??? WTF is funny about that? Our kids are dying daily over that "joke"

I wish Hume had a kid coming back from Iraq in a casket to see how quick he would "get over it" ...
