if you have ever learned anything from this site never read horns digest, hookem or orangebloods for real information. those sites are strictly for the jbwronghorns of the world to collect bullshit rumors to disseminate among their gang-sign fingered peers

saban has been named head coach of texas approximately 137 times on those sites :)

When it comes to Baylor, nothing would surprise me. This school has been a laughing stock for the last 30 years until their 5 year run under Briles. I would imagine it's hard to let go of that. From what I've seen on the Baylor boards, every pathetic lowlife wants him back. Think of it as Penn State lite or the OJ case. "Oh we know it happened, but what proof do they have?" This is the way they think down there. And believe me, it's much worse than what I'm stating. Their fan base is totally delusional. I can actually see the Baylor brass thinking this over. "Do we lose millions of dollars or bring Briles back?"

You would think there would be some sort of scumbag clause in his contract that relieves the school of this mess...

Well you know this attitude originates from the alumni and donors.
You can potentially get away with anything if they like you.

Reminds me of these hillbillies in Oregon.
Not much backbone.

Sometimes there's nothing worse than the donors running the asylum. I've come to realize that people with money are no more rational than people without money. They are just richer. If Baylor tries to retain Briles through all of this mess, I can almost guarantee you there will be more accusations surface in the next year while he's in the penalty box. With the way the media has been able to track Baylor's every move in the last month, it makes me think they have a trader on the inside that wants all of this dirty business cleared up so they can start over. The best way to do it is by keeping the media informed..

News/Rumors this morning here in Dallas area is that Baylor and Briles are settling for half of the $40Mil they owed him on his contract. He was named in this Title IX lawsuit along with the school and I believe they are working to settle that as well. Surprising that Baylor could not terminate him "for cause" because of his actions but I guess they did not want this talking to the public or anyone who would listen as it may have shined a much worse light on the situation. From the sounds of it, it goes way above the sports programs and is at the highest levels of the university. Apparently, while assaults committed by the athletes in and around Waco are in the newspapers, there is even a higher percentage of assaults that are done my kids OUTSIDE of the sports programs. It's apparently at epidemic proportions. Quite a few coming from their fraternity system...

This could get interesting.
http://espn.go.com/college-football...ccuses-baylor-university-wrongful-termination

Former head coach Art Briles, in an emergency motion filed Thursday, is accusing Baylor University of unfairly blaming him and the football program for the school's overall "institutional failure" in addressing sexual assault.

A letter included with the motion filed Thursday states that Briles does not want to settle the case and implies that the school is using Briles as a scapegoat in the ongoing Title IX and sexual assault controversy.

Rumor is that big money donors are backing briles and pressing to release everything in an effort to get him hired back. Basically that it wasn't his fault, it was the university's fault.

They got a taste of the good life, I guess they'll do anything to keep it going.

The settlement probably means the Pepper Hamilton report won't get released now. I was really looking forward to the shitstorm that was about to unfold. I think Baylor REALLY wants this report to stay hidden. Now that the door is open for all of the other lawsuits against the school and Briles, there still might be a chance the PH report finds the light of day. But I have my doubts. I think Baylor wants all of this mess behind them, even if it means multi-million dollar settlements...
