I lost my father in an accident which happened in an extremely similiar fashion when I was only 19 years of age.
I don't know what Brett should do. He's older than I was but it's never a good time to lose a parent and I think he is more mature than I was at 19.
Whatever he does--will be "well with his soul".

His entire family have informed Brett they insist that he play in tonights game.
If he can handle it, there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that the best thing he could do would be to play.
He will return to be with his family immediately after the game.

I'm sure his dad will be with him tonight for every play and would have it no other way. And I'll bet Favre will have one of his greatest games.
As for the grieving family, I'm sure Brett playing this one for dad will do more to bring them together tonight than anything he could do back home. There will be time enough for grieving. I know too much about grief. I could write a book about it. Believe me I know.
