He has always been a big gambler. I really couldn't tell who he was on tonight. He kept saying Self would go to the bench and rest his starters. Almost sounds like he had Okl St for the game or Kansas 1st half play.

Had the pleasure of having Brent buy myself and a group of friends beers back in college many, many years ago. His son went to college with us. He was in town on a Wednesday night and we ran into him at a bar. We went over just to say hello, and he asked us to hang out and bought us several pitchers of beers and was nice enough to spend more than hour talking sports, and gambling to lesser degree. I know a lot of people do not appreciate Brent, but I will always have a special place for him. He is real.

I doubt Brent bets on any game he calls, but is knowledgeable about the line on any game he calls.

I always thought he was one of the best and I love the comments like "that score may seem meaningless but not to some if you know what I mean". Seems to me alot of announcers will say the spread on football these days
