I think you must take some pictures from a different angle from the front,cause it looks very very smal from the front.So I guess there must be a big part of the house missing or you r just nuts..or whom ever is going to pay $155k for that should be nuts.

There is a bigger problem you can see in these pics, check the cheap bticino outlets and in the front porch they even bother to put the cover on the breaker box. I have seen this far too many times. Poor electrical installation.

That house looks more like 55 k worth... Prices in Costa Rica have just gotten out of control. The staircase looks really safe for kids by the way. For 155k right now you should see the houses you can get in Florida. If you have the money to invest in a home right now your best bet is in the states where property has dropped a considerable amount, bc its only time before the shoot back up.

even if it does go backup a little it will have little to do with appreciation and more to do with inflation

but yeah, it sucks to see how much we all (Ticos like me and gringos /etc ) pay for a house here....prices are on par with Austin, Dallas, Houston and many other major cities in the US while the wages are (obviously) lower. (the only advantage we have is the property taxes are much lower)
