Last year: 110-73 60%
Last year bowl record: 12-5 71%
Combined record: 122-78 61%

Let's hope for great numbers again this year.

As usual, I will post my leans (starting today) just for conversation.
I will not post my final plays until usually the day of the game(s).

I will play 1-5 units on a game (most of the games are 3 unit games)

Leans (more will come later):
Penn St -27 (probably a large play for me)
NC St -3
LSU -14

jb...BOL this season. I'm curious to see which way the LSU line moves in the next couple of weeks.

Good luck this season. Like the NC State play, this may be Spurriers worse team yet, few playmakers that they had on the outside are gone, defense lost some studs, not sold on Garcia.

I love LSU and NC State. I think LSU is a dark horse for Nat'l Champion. If it weren't for their head coach, I'd be even higher on them for the Nat'l Championship. But in these 1st few games, even high hat can't get in the way of all that athleticism...

Dude I'm thinking Penn St wins 49-10 or something like that.. I'm definitely leaning that way, good to see a stud like you does too.

I know a good deal about PSU but not much about Akron. Are there any positives that any of you can think of when it comes to the Zips? Penn St. is one of those teams like Texas, they always seem to crush non BCS teams in week 1 by 40+.

Looking forward to your Kentucky plays jbragg :toast:

Do you like Kentucky -14 vs Miami Ohio? Kentucky blanked Lousville last year in the opener (gave up 2 points) but I'm really not sure how much they lost on defense. Curious what you think about it.

Still looking into this game. I am going to wait until last minute to decide (looking to see if injuries come up). UK's defense will not be as great, but they will be very good. Lindley returns with Micah Johnson. A shut down corner and a great linebacker.

The secondary for UK is very very good. The linebackers have been great so far, but the one question mark is the defensive line. With Jarmon getting suspended for the year, that really hurt. They don't have a true rusher.

The offense should be better. Hartline has improved, but if he sucks, they can put in the star freshamn qb in Morgan Newton. You will see some wildcat packes with him as QB. Cobb goes strictly to WR which helps. Rave reviews so far from the WR core. Last year, they had only 1 player who ever played a college game before ... so they will be better.

Running backs will be good. Smith and Locke will be great. I really like this UK team this year. Probably the best team they had in a few years. The problem is their schedule is brutal. They will probably be 6-6 or 7-5 this year.

On to the Miami game ... I think UK should cover 14 (if there are no set backs). I will wait this one out until the last moment.

On NC ST -3...think this one gets to 4.5-6 before kickoff.

Lean but no play on Washington yet. 18 was available early and unless it gets to +17 or higher before kickoff im not betting this game. -13.5 or less would bet LSU (small).

Although PSU has covered plenty of large spreads, Akron has too much overall talent and will be able to move the ball against PSU. On Akron +27.5.

Dont have a play for UK / UM game either. # is what it should be.

GL this season jb.

Most of the lines have settled in now.N.C. State is going to go off at -3 to -4, maybe -4.5, but I do not expect it to go higher. Akron has one of the worst defenses around. I really can't see taking this team against Penn State, who always covers against Akron, and who has a good record of covering against theam like them. I have seen Akron ranked #100 or worse by a few mags. Penn State may have this game covered by the 1st quarter. 27 points is just not nearly enough.

As I have stated before, Washington is a great 1st half play, and a great 2nd half fade. This game should be no exception. Washington has their QB Locker back, a new head coach, and a full stadium going crazy. They come out all fired up and play LSU tough in the 1st half. Then reality sets in and LSU crushes them in the 2nd half.

I agree on both fronts. Illinois has to come out and stick it to Mizzou. They simply have more talent.

Akron may have some talent....but comparing their talent to the talent of Penn St is comical...they are smaller, weaker and slower then Penn St...27pt line is a gift...

Penn St 49-10

With you on the NCST bet. Agree with BigDaddy...Locker is a stud. I'm going to feel fine not putting in any action on that game.

Kentucky only averaged 299 yds off offensive LY and is giving up two TDs; their defense takes a big hit TY. I think their offensive can carry them against mediorce teams and there is a class difference here. Miami underachieved LY and a lot of new things are going on with new staff and new HC Mike Haywood [ Notre Dame Off Coord ]. Miami's def line was pathatic LY and the Wildcats will be able to run the ball and you know what that means. Neither team has a world beater at QB but I lean with Hartline even though he was much maligned LY and Miami's secondary didn't have an Int LY. I lean toward Kentucky but these Redhawk's talons could be sharper than advertised. I''ll probably pass this game for now anyway.

Best Wishes
