If he ran the West Coast offense and had better players around him, he would have the same statistics as Montana.

Exactly. Montana would have carved up Carolina for a 50-14 victory. Brady is a average quarterback in a salary-capped parity league. The Patriots couldn't cover in a game the 49ers would have won by four touchdowns. Brady deserves credit, but don't go overboard.

well said arnie. brady and the pats had their chance to earn respect. but letting it be a game that could have easily been carolina's they still wont get it. maybe a little more. but not that "whoa theyre the pats" type of respect. a few snickers following any discussion of the pats will still be the norm, i would think.

the pats just make things so no one takes the cards or chargers lightly.

Just the title of your post labels you as some sort of mentally impaired individual.

Sorry for your problem and good luck with some treatment!

LOL... truly one of the most stupid things I have ever read... The only people not giving the Pats respect after winning 2 superbowl in 3 years are people that DO NOT KNOW THE GAME!

THIS TEAM WON 15 straight GAMES! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

nuff said!

^^ WOW! What the hell is this guy talking about? lmao.. OK your right no teams/coaches respect the Pats after winning 15straight and claiming there 2nd superbowl in 3 years! I just checked and the Cards feel a trip to New England in December is no different then a trip to SD in September.. lol, some of you tools are unreal!

i dont know a lot kodiak. i just know enough. they are a lot more knowlegeable guys than me and maybe/probably you are included. but this is crap homer thread and you know it. in my 5 years of posting at capping forums, ive never seen so much talk for a team before and after a game that was so irrelevant to handicapping.

if the pats are so good why doesnt their play speak for themselves

I know youre only kidding here, but isnt that what its coming to? look at minnesota losing to arizona in week 17. you cant bring your "c game" to anyone ever anymore. its just not like that in todays game.

i will say the pats were incredibly consistent week after week and bill is a hell of a coach. he is the real mvp.

What he dosen't realize is winning 15 straight games in the so called age of parity makes it even more incredible 17-2 for the year...the last time the Pats lost was the last day of the 2003 baseball season!Octber 4-0,november 4-0,December 4-0,January,2-0, February 1-0.
Preseason 4-0.
Highest winning pct. over the last 3years...6-0 in the playoffs.

patriot.. The Pats are supoerbowl champions and one of the greatest TEAMS! TEAM being the key word of all-time.. 20 years from now they will say this TEAM had the best chemistry of any team at any time in history. NO STARS, JUST A GREAT TEAM THAT WON EVERY WEEK!

I would think all others would love to have such a TEAM...

17-2 and Superbowl Champs for a second time in three years! what more need to be said?

Everyone is veering from the original topic. Brady does not work in a wide open offense like Montana did, nor does he have equal talent around him. My post had nothing to do with the Patriots.

Doesn't work in a wide-open offense?

Four-wides and empty backfields are the Patsies predominant formations.

You're comparing apples to oranges... or more like fine champagne and grape juice.
