Bracket Spreadsheet for Download

A buddy of mine came up with this spreadsheet to fill out NCAA tournament brackets. It uses an algorithm based on historical data, seeding, etc to complete your NCAA bracket for you (for all the time-strapped, lazy mo-fo's...this is for you). It also computes a bracket upset value to determine the number of upsets in a particular bracket (i.e. don't think there will be that many upsets, then shoot for a low bracket upset value).

when itry to download it just gives me some reading and no bracket in excel. where is the bracket?

There's a tab on the bottom of the spreadsheet that says "bracket"

It is opening in excel though, right? If so, shrink the size of the excel worksheet or maximize the excel worksheet, there are 3 tabs are on the bottom of the spreadsheet, select the 2nd one and hit F9.

is there a way where you can change certain games w/o it changing several outcomes

The only way for now is to save that outcome and customize certain match-ups on your own. He said he was going to work on adding more features (i.e. locking in certain outcomes in the bracket), but unfortunately he couldn't get to it in time...next year.

IMO, this year's version is useful tool to provide the framework for your bracket, you can change certain games within that bracket once you're happy with the final outcome. GL

Yeah, a guy I work with, he does it on the side. Every year he adds features, hopefully next year it will have adtl features like ability to lock certain games in. thanks!
