The Bruins did not look sharp in their 3-1 opening night series win and looked even more disinterested in their 7-3 loss on Wednesday. Patrice Bergeron has missed both games for the B’s and will likely miss Friday night’s matchup as well.
However, the Bruins’ success has been chiefly attributed to defense and what we saw on Wednesday was perhaps their worst performance of the season. I doubt we will see that twice in a row and if Boston limits their turnovers and uncharacteristic mistakes in their defensive zone, the outcome will undoubtedly be different from their four-goal loss two nights ago.
