I almost got really fortunate with that Arizona bet. Suarez came about a foot from hitting a walk off grand slam. Still turned a profit thanks to the Dodgers getting it done on SNB.

Christian Walker 2+ total bases (-120), 1*
Walker over 0.5 rbi (+100), 1*
Walker to hit a home run (+275), 1*

Apparently this guy is hot and has excellent numbers to back up these bets. .833 with 2 home runs against Feltner. He hits .338 career at Coors Field. 2+ total bases in four of his last six games. I haven’t liked anything moneyline or total the past couple nights, but this guy seems worth investment. There are plenty of ways to bet on a hitter to have success if you don’t like any of these specifically. GL

Diamondbacks -1.5 (-105), 1*

Monster home run from Walker in the 8th last night. Looked like I was going to lose three units and I ended up turning a 4.75 unit profit. I would like to bet the Royals trying to avoid a sweep at home. The problem is they are throwing their worst arm and Detroit is countering with Skubal. So that’s going to be a pass for me. GL

You called it with Walker. Gonna reload vs. Gomber?
I’m not going to pinpoint any player specifically. I want to play against Gomber with the whole team, as opposed to last night where I was looking at a specific guy.

Nice 8-0 run this week. Probably going to be a light day tomorrow by the looks of things. I’m just going to pick my spots until the postseason. It has been a great season and now is not the time to get reckless. If I bet anything, I will post it tomorrow.

Mets ML (-102), 1*

Mets have won four straight at home. Every game is important to them as they try to secure a playoff spot. The Phillies are playing for the best record in the NL, so it’s not like they don’t care. But this series clearly means more to the Mets. I actually lean over 7.5 in this game, as I think both offenses could have some success against the lefties they are facing. Almost bet that too, but I will stick with just the Mets. GL

That was probably the worst bet I made this month. It happens, onto tomorrow.

Cubs ML (-130), 1*
Red Sox ML (+114), 1*

I might add more later. There are a lot of interesting matchups today between teams and/or pitchers. The Phillies clinched the division last night and definitely did a little celebrating. I wouldn’t be surprised if 1-2 starters have today off. They aren’t throwing one of their best arms today, while Chicago is throwing Steele.

With the Red Sox, this is a fade of Toronto. The Blue Jays looked like they didn’t give a crap yesterday. The offense almost treated the game like it was spring training. They weren’t working counts at all. The Red Sox threw five different pitchers, gave up six hits and a couple walks and got through the entire game with less then 100 pitches combined. While Boston isn’t going to make the playoffs, they are still technically alive and haven’t mailed it in. GL

Angels ML (-130), 1*
Rockies ML (EV), 1*
Yankees -1.5 (+145), 1*

I’m a little nervous betting against the White Sox who suddenly seemed determined not to lose. I didn’t bet Toronto last night because they looked disinterested during the first two games of their series against Boston. But I would have bet the game otherwise and Toronto won easily. I’m going to give the Angels the benefit of the doubt here. They have the better pitcher and are the better team. Teams who have clinched a playoff spot have been losing the next night. Happened to the Phillies and Padres this week. I would like the Yankees to win and clinch the division tonight so I can fade them tomorrow against the Pirates. Let’s get through today first. GL

Almost at 30 units of profitability. Only three more games to grind out and then it will be time for the postseason. Unless you are the Mets and Braves. I don’t know how active I will be over the weekend during football season, but I will do my best to post bets when I make them.
