If all you have access to is a total of 7 in the Lightning game at plus money, I’m fine with that too. I have access to both options, I’m choosing to lay the big juice in case we get a 3-3 game headed to OT. Good luck.

Stars ML + Predators ML (+100), 2*

My theory is neither team wants to play Colorado in the first round. I expect Dallas to defeat Anaheim and Nashville to take care of Arizona.

I was debating doing something a little different in the Eastern Conference and I wish I had. I think Tampa and Boston would both rather play Carolina and the NY/Pitt winner instead of Toronto and Florida in the first two rounds of the playoffs. Tampa was one point ahead of Boston going into tonight. I don’t think either team is particularly motivated to win. I was going to bet Toronto and the Islanders on the money line, but I had a lot of action already.

That’s it for tonight. GL

Strong night for me. I can’t believe the Predators lost, especially after being up 4-0. Now they can get smoked by Colorado.

I will have an update with my season long futures later on, now that they have all been decided.

Blackhawks over 90.5 (-110), 1*

Senators under 77.5 (-110), 1*

Rangers to win the Metropolitan (+500), 1*

YTD: 266-250, +30.1

Ended up pretty much being a wash with my regular season futures. If the Lightning would have lost their final game, I would have turned a 2 unit profit, but it's all good. I will post a couple series bets for the first round shortly.

Series Bets

Wild to win series (-150), 2*
Rangers to win series (-105), 2*
Lightning to win series (+105), 2*

These prices will vary from book to book. I think the Rangers are better then the Penguins and I expect that to shake out over the course of the series. Rangers are better in net and I like their supporting cast better.

Toronto and Tampa are even teams, but I'm happy to fade Toronto in the playoffs until they prove they can rise to the occasion. It's not like home ice advantage has benefited them lately. Tampa is fully vaccinated so it's not like they have to leave any of their players behind.

I am not high on St. Louis. I respect them for what they are, but they don't strike me as a team who is going to make a run this year. I think Minnesota in the west and Boston in the east are under the radar teams who could surprise some people. Mostly everyone believes Minnesota will lose by round two against Colorado. Boston is a 7 seed who will probably have to go through both division winners to make the Finals. I'm going to look for opportunities to bet those teams that make sense. I think the Wild make a lot of sense here.

Weird night so far. We had six goals in the first two periods of the Rangers game which was surprising. Now we haven't had a goal in over 40 minutes. Granted the Rangers had a goal disallowed which was a bad call in my opinion. Hopefully that doesn't cost me my bet. I also feel like that Panthers game should have went over. They scored 43 seconds into the second period and didn't score the rest of the game. On the flip side, Colorado's team total going over couldn't have been an easier win.

Ideally, the Rangers will close this out in double OT and the Flames game will stay under.

I’m adding a unit on top of the bet I made before the series started on the Rangers. I believe they should have won in regulation and are still the better team. Especially if the Penguins #1 goalie is out for any period of time. I know Domingue was good in relief last night, but let’s see how he does when the Rangers are fresh and need game 2 badly.

I will probably add a couple plays later. Good luck.

I couldn't get one goal from LA last night. Losing that over and the Panthers game one over were pretty tough. As was losing the game one under in the Carolina series. Despite that, I believe in these overs tonight and I feel good about a nice profitable Cinco De Mayo. Good luck!

I can’t believe I lost my over bet in game one and two of the Panthers series. I deserved to lose both western conference overs last night. But not the Caps/Panthers over. Tonight is the much better batch of games then last night. All these money lines are very competitive, last night the Rangers were the smallest favorite at roughly -170. The good news is all three teams I bet on to win the series evened things up at 1-1. I will update later today.
