I personally don't agree with Borel's decision. I know that Rachel Alexandria is a beast but taking that mount over the derby champ is puzzling to me. He got a huge payday on the second longest shot ever at the Derby. Wouldn't you think he would stay with the winner?

Nope! He is staying with the better horse. He may never cash with the Derby winner again. JMO

I understand that jockeys go with the better animal, its just logical...after his excitement on the horse and winning previously, i expected him to stay on for some reason.

He made the right call because he is staying on a filly who can dominate her division. Plus maybe he might grab a few stakes mounts from Asmussen down the road.
The Derby win wasn't a fluke, but that horse isn't going to dominate it's division.
Win or lose I don't think she should run in the Preakness.

Borel isn't as dumb as he looks/sounds.

The Perfect Storm brew for MTB to win the Derby.

I would of been floored if he chose to ride Mine That Bird..

Rachel Alexandria is a rare species, she'll beat the boys.

They'll smell her pυssy all the way to the wire.

On that day, he did the best he could with what he had.

Now, it's back to business. This ride has more to offer.

Borel absolutely made the right decision. Rachel Alexandria is a champion filly, probably win the eclipse award. No matter what Borel is a great story this year by winning the Derby with a no shot colt. Mine That Bird will be lucky to win another major stakes race in my humble opinion.
Joey P: Curlin and Rachel Alexandria will be bred together, nice couple eh?

Dont be so sure about that....Looking for a line now on will SHE beat the BOYS.....Not saying she cannot, but I doubt it will be as easy as everyone says.

I usually don't like fillies against the boys, but this is some filly.. Also the male 3yr crop might be the weakest we've seen in a while...

Rachel's won't present value, but she will likely win if she runs to 85% of her ability..

Poor Rachel ... if she does run in the Preakness on Saturday, Win or lose the race, she will be knocked out of a lot of "filly stakes races" because she competed with the "boys".

If history does repeat itself, I hope that it is "Rachel A wins the Preakness"..

The other history repeater we have is a Triple Crown contender racing in the second leg with a new jockey.

Weather conditions at Pimlico... chance of rain.. a lot of rain.
