Yeah, they called it the "Golden Triangle" back in the eighties, Beaumont, Orange and Port Arthur. I spent a hell of a lot more time in Houston than I did at my home in Orange, LOL.

Passed thru there many times on my way to Lake Charles between 1999-2012! Can't remember if it was Orange or Vidor that had the reputation for certain people to not be there after dark-many years ago...

Vidor, my buds and I got really drunk one night and actually went to a cross burning out of curiosity. My buds were from Montana so there was no threat, these guys would wrestle grizzlies given the chance so some dumbasses in white suits didn't bother them, lol. Only thing that stirred us a little was the potential for guns entering the equation, but we left peacefully and let the dumbasses be dumbasses. Not far up the road in Jasper they actually chained a guy by the neck and drug him behind a pick-up. Crazy shit in that part of Texas in the early 80's. Anyway, Orange is the town ya hit right after crossing the Sabine River on I-10. Funny ya mention Lake Charles.....that where I had my knee done by a bone breaker (Orthopedic Surgeon for those that have't played sports, lol) Louis Drez, Team Doc for the Saints and a few others. Seems like a lifetime ago. Well BR, I saved my own ass by doing a teaser with that mess, but I also HATE THE MAC!
