Stations casinos has hung a number on this
tilt; Bojado-430, +330 coming back. Remember
the line IS NOT a handicap, but the oddsmakers
perception of what he feels is the public take
on the match. He "charges" as much as possible
for the privilege of wagering on the "perceived" better combatant, even if he personally thinks the dog may actually be the
one who may stand to win the fight. In this case Francisco is the much younger guy; a rising star with much potential. Jesse James
is a weatherbeaten old pro who may not have a
whole lot of gas left in the tank. I think the price is a tad steep for the chalk here, so I won't touch it. Not really even interested that
much in it. One other interesting fight is Ali-
Epilon tonite. As a huge dog Epilon may be worth a look. Never seen her, but she is a six footer, a 2 inch height advantage over Ali. One never knows, do one?

That would be a pretty good value play if Leija had some heart. It still might be, I just am unwilling to bet on Leija.

If I had to play here, I would take Panchito
only because he got cut pretty bad and sucked it and came back. I think this shows a lot
of grit and determination. I say he wins this,
but I avoid anything over 3-1 odds.

I'm going to be in town on Aug 7th. Where does a guy go to watch a Showtime fight there?

Not sure right now. From what I've seen so far
HBO is usually whats available in the casinos, BUT it may be available in select locations.
You might want to bookmark www.lvrj.com, which
is the local paper here which is available online and peruse it occasionally as it may
yield such info.

Yeah I know alot of the sportsbooks show the HBO fights but I dont see any of them claiming to show the showtime ones. I gotta watch Freitas vs Corrales. What about any local bars?

I think I will bite on this one. Bojado at -360 is not a bad line against an aging Leija. I have only seen Leija in action once. That was against Tszyu. He did not impress me then and since, he has only fought scrubs.

If Bojado loses to Leija I will be very surprised. I think Bojado has every advantage, with the exception of experience, over Leija. He's got speed, some power at light welter, an excellent trainer in Buddy McGirt, and motivation.

I may hedge my wager with Leija by Dec to be on the safe side.

Leija is not a bad play here. Bojado is a skilled fighter, but Leija is a veteran, and he may take him into deep water after a few rounds. Bojado is the attraction, which gives him an edge with the judges, but who has he really beaten? he is 16-1. Just got with McGirt not long ago. Jut watching the weigh in i saw a smirk on Leija's face, and he looked pretty confident. This is Bojado's biggest test, and if he wins a convincing fight then we know he is for real. I think he may be a bit too green for Leija, but we will find out tonight.

I think this is a pretty evenly matched fight and I dont think Bojado should be such a heavy favorite. Even though I think Bojado will probably break him down towards the end Leija really isnt a bad value play. You can get some bang for your buck with this number. Im suprised its this high.

I think its alot higher than it should be almly, Its the classic Young star vs. Old veteran, and over the years we have seen these fights go both ways. Leija was winning rounds with Tszyu before he had a ruptured eardrum. The guy still has a little left in the tank, and he may surprise Bojado, who ive never been that high on personally. I made a small play on Leija, with a +400 line. Bojado hasnt beaten anybody with experience to be favored so much.

leija deserved the decision....i touched him lightly...but at those odds,it was a decent play...thanks in large part to this thread...

looks like bojado doesn`t know what his style should be....he`s confused in there....when he lost to rubio,he seemed to run out of gas....i think he`s worried about his own stamina...he went long stretches in this fight doing absolutely nothing...

...i honestly think that if he had pressured leija,he could have stopped him...i did notice around the 3rd or 4th round, leija landed a sizzlind body shot that seemed to freeze bojado....and he never looked the same after that....

and he whispered something to mcgirt in the corner...maybe he broke a rib or something....

body shots....they were the story of the night...more guys should look to the body first and then the head...

congrats to everyone that had leija...and thanks for posting the thread bringing it to everyone`s attention.....

We should of thought of this earlier because I think its a possible scenario as to why Bojado had problems tonight. The neglection that he's been receiving as of late might have had an effect on his mentality. Mayweather has to leave him because De Lahoya is his priority. Then he goes to Mcgirt who Im sure is trying to help him succeed but lets face it, Bojado was his second priority tonight. Not to make excuses for the guy but this might have an effect on him metally. I think he needs to go with a trainer who will make him a top priority.
