Will be like a basketball game, I like the Over 71, tema respons to Whieldon, I dont think the spread matters much, either Hawaii outright or Boise by 25

to me - the total looks really low. this game might take 5 hours to play - since they will both be passing on every down - meaning the clock stops on incomplete passes and out of bounds' plays (as well as first downs - for a few seconds at least).
Sharpest guys say that this Boise team can name the score. I said to myself, "Are they 7 points better than Alabama?" They said 14 better. That's pretty incredible. If so, I guess they roll here.
The one thing one must keep in mind is that Boise St. loss against Oregon St. occurred in their thrid game of the year. Boise St. had only three starters returning on offense and thats reason why they struggled in the begining of the year. They are 5-0 straight up and 4-1 ATS, with their only non cover coming in as a 41 point favorite vs UTEP, which they won 51-21. Boise St. is averaging nearly 46 points per game while allowing just 16 points over 9 games since their lost to Oregon St. With margin of victory of 30 points, I think that Boise St. will get the cover easily, unless some other information comes out later.
I think that Boise St will cover the spread this weekend. They will come in very focused this week trying to keep their undefeated record in the WAC for the last two years. They are definetly a stronger team than Alabama, and they play very well on the road. They have won and covered the past two games versus Hawaii and beat Hawaii at home in 2001.
One thing About Boise St. is that they are on some winning streak both straight up and ATS when playing on ESPN. I am not sure how many years back does the streak go, but I do know that so far this year, they have won and covered every game on ESPN.
If Boise St. played a weak schedule then Hawaii may have played an even weaker schedule. Hawaii has played only three teams with winning record also, USC, Tulsa, and Fresno St. Hawaii lost to Tulsa and beat Fresno St., whereas Boise St. beat both Tulsa and Fresno St. Hawaii was not in the game at all against USC, they were outscored 52-19 through three quarters and if I am not mistaken was down 52-6 before scoring in the third quarter. Boise St had a few bad calls by the officials which cost them their only loss on the season just like how Hawaii got help from them in their victory over San Jose St.
I agree that how a team has played on ESPN is no indication of how they will play the next game. Boise St. does not get much national exposure, so when they do play on national TV, it means a lot to the program for both recruiting and exposure. Just as much how the victory over Alabama will help Hawaii. If Hawaii lost to Alabama this past week, I might question playing Boise St., but since Hawaii did win, I think that Boise St. is the right side. Hawaii victory over Alabama will give Boise St. extra motivation for the game. I also think that it is very difficult for team to be a focus and motivated for two consecutive weeks as Hawaii was last week.
Nearly as good as Miami and Boise St. Boise State has accepted a conditional invitation to play TCU in the first Fort Worth Bowl on 12/23.
See my post.
I heard a report that Wheldon was going to be the starting QB for Hawaii since he pulled them out of the fire in the second half of the Bama game. He seems to move the team better of late and I also saw him play some last year if I am not mistaken.
Whieldon will start against Boise St., but Jones said that he will also play Chang for a few series. Coach Jones said that with Whieldon starting he will have to limit the number of offense plays called since Whieldon is not as familiar with the run-and-shoot as Chang is. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. It's going to be a big challenge for us, but we're looking forward to it," Whieldon said. Starting slot back Chad Owens who is second in the nation in receiving yards, was in crutches yesterday with sprained big toe. Owens claims that he expects to play Saturday, but his status is still questionable. I will keep everone updated on his status.

Hawaii's starting RB Keliikipi who tore a knee in the November 15 loss to Nevada worked out in practice yesterday, and is expected to start. Keliikipi is a bruising 260 pound RB, that runs over defenders and is also Hawaii's best pass blocking RB.
Starting saftey Hyrum Peters and slot back Chad Owens will be game time decision. Keliikipi looked good in practice and should be able to play this weekend. CC, whats up with the comments bruddha?
I don't make a sarcastic comments about what you post.

Before you call someone Bruddha, spell it correctly. Braddah! Secondly, don't be calling me your Braddah, and then come into my threads or commenting on my post, by coming out directly against me and telling me, in your way, I am wrong. What is this shit, you call me braddah and then you do that. Eh, start your own thread if you got some difference of opinion then mine. No fvcken call my braddah and then at the same time try and discredit me in my post. Show some class, when you have a difference of opinion. No just jump in and say what you like. Plus, try be original and not bite someone elses info. Fvckin wake up!
