QB Mangum is out.
QB Hodge is expected to miss.
Who is # 3, behind these two? Can't be much if he couldn't beat out these two...
BYU has NO receivers, offense is reeling... this allows Boise to focus on the run, correct?
Boise will be ready after the VA loss.
BYU isn't BYU anymore. Though, Boise isn't Boise anymore.
Still, Boise is off 13 days rest, BYU 6, has to be Boise - 9.

I'm leaning that way also. Boise looked bad against Virginia but Virginia just seemed very well prepared for that game, otherwise Boise has played pretty well. I don't see how you could back BYU in this game unless your'e just going off a gut feel.

I think Detmer is the starting QB for BYU tonight. He looked like a deer in headlights last week. Was not prepared at all, and was awful...might be a little more game ready tonight, but who knows. I'm probably laying off cause both these teams play really ugly lately, but I agree that Boise is the play. Good luck man!

Boise OL is a weakness but it suffers more on artificial turf, easier for DL and LB to go after them, this game is on natural turf and I think the Boise OL is not as vulnerable.
Still hearing Hodge is unlikely to play (concussion)... but that might change I guess.
After 13 days I think Boise will be focused to march for a bowl bid, Rypien should be tuned up, if Hodge is out I think this is a good wager, BYU is a mess.

Yes line down to 7.
Maybe Hodge is a "go", but he hasn't shown that much and will he go all out coming off a concussion, "for what"?
If he is confirmed to start I will stay away from this ugly POS game... though I still would lean to Boise.

Yeah, I'm probably gonna stay away from this steaming pile of a game...unless I'm that bored and drunk come 7:00, which is entirely possible

Tanner fuggin' sucks. Did you see him play prior to his injury? It doesn't matter if he plays or not.

I have a wager on Boise, but not large like I had planned when reports were that the # 3 QB would start.
I cannot see Mangum moving around in the pocket, and his ankle might also throw off his accuracy (though it might CORRECT it, ha!) so I doubt he will be very effective.
We shall see.
Boise should be more than ready and Rypien should be sharp.
If Mangum goes out it will be wise to put a large in-game or halftime move on Boise...

Magnum staring. If for some reason he can’t go or gets hurt Critchlow gets the Redshirt pulled. Hoge and Detmer are not 2nd options tonight

They like him but hoped to put 20 pounds on him. He’s from Tennessee. Definitely in play he split all of the Reps with Mangum

That's nuts if they drop his redshirt now at 1-4 already. Still, would be his first action against a strong rival in BS.

Nice reasoning Serbone and good luck.

BYU is terrible.
And they put the freshman in with 2:00 to go in the game. I guess he starts the rest of the season.
