They must have been taking some big hits on Minny and didn't want to move the line to 7. Their site went down conviently 5 minutes before kickoff.

Actually I had their site open right at kickoff and it was up. Since they do pick and choose how they run things, perhaps they just cut off your account for a few minutes...you been winning?

By the way the game closed at Minny -6 -115 for me, but had -6.5 -115 as their "public line".

I was recommended to them by a friend and am currently using it as one of my three books. However, since I have been flagged and do not get the same "public lines" anymore I have decided to pull my money from them.

They can run their business how they like but I do not want to deal with them anymore. Would have a hard time recommending them.

I'm not convinced that they change their lines for certain individuals.

I did find out however some details about how the "public line" page works and why it is often different.

In my opinion it is a horrible flaw - and to correct the controversy they should keep some record of when their lines change so that you can see the exact time of their line changes.

This is probably a lot to ask - and though the company claims that they make no financial gain from the line discrepancies that often act as what can be perceived as a "teaser line", I have to believe that over time people are probably betting lines that they would not have taken had the "public line" not been so attractive.

I'm done defending them as a result of this - yet I still insist that it is not a planned conspiracy.

However, I still have to say that I am impressed with their business model overall. They do a great job going after the average player and they really do a good job keeping the wiseguys out, withOUT actually banning them.

I would buy shares in their stock, but as a player I am always considering alternatives - and will continue to use them for their "dog" lines.

Maybe thats why they are called bodog...

Maybe they do adjust their lines for certain folks. I was getting 6.5 for quite a while there when other swear up and down they couldn't get it. When I tried to buy the Pack up to 7 it wouldn't let me because the line suddenly changed to GB +6.5 (-105) and it wouldn't let me buy off it. So I go grab a beer, come bak and I can't even get on the site. In the 3rd qtr or so it was back up. I am not a heavy hitter by any means, I bet $330 every play no exceptions (until the end of the season and I get crazy). So I highly doubt they would shut me off. I have been winning a lot lately though going 6-2 yesterday (4-0 at bodog) and 5-3 on Saturday (3-0) at bodog. But you never know I guess.

They don't.

I got them at 6.5 too.

They don't let you buy points quite often and if you have the time some day hang around the site - you'll be amazed how often their lines change.

btw good job lately chad

Nice weekend for you Chad. Congrats.

Jaypaw, we can go round and round forever about some people being and "flagged" and receiving different lines. It is a reality. I never received any higer than Green Bay +6 yesterday., while you, Chad and the live lines at two other sites also had it at 6.5. I can name numerous games yesterday that their line was different. I have proven it before and others have confirmed.

It is no means a "planned conspireacy" as you put it, however it is carefully planned. As I have said, they can run their business anyway they like. I will be taking ny business elsewhere.

But you agree it is random - and that they couldnt possibly track every player's preferences in an attempt to "bet" their way to profit.

That wouldnt last - they would lose many customers or lose all their money.

No, it is not random. I had no problems for the first several weeks I used them and then I hit a couple of generous lines very hard. Since that point I have tracked it. With technology, they can easily track a particular computer through the cookies that deliver the site to you. Now you can delete the cookies but once you log back in under a "flagged" account they will give an adjusted line.

If you think, it makes perect sense. Again, not bashing them. Their model is to cater to more recreational type bettors. The have a lot of people playing public sides of games, hence they have to adjust the lines. When someone like me comes in and hits a game hard at the advantageous line it is not in their best interest.

Example, yesterday Minnesota was -5 -110 at Bodog when the day began. As players began hitting Minny the line went as high as Minny -6.5 -115. Now I don't how much money moves a line at Bodog but they are obviously getting hit with a fair amount of Minny and do not want to move the lines ot -7 for obvious reasons. Their model is to dish the higher "public line" to their recreational players but yet not get overexposed by their players who are shopping for the best line. Up until 30 minutes before gametime I was being dished Minny -6 -105 and then it finally went to Minny -6 -115. But they did not give me the 6.5 that they had up that you received.

Several other posters have confirmed this practice. Tonights game is the same but i know I will have a good example on one of the primtime games this week. Perhaps if we are logged in at the same time i can show you what I mean.

Nevertheless, best of luck.

BoDog is a fine book with deep pockets. They know what the hell they are doing to make money.

I use bodog frequently, and if you are getting different lines as I am you just have to have a couple other outs. when they play with the line you just have to use it to your advantage.

very good book imo

pat glad to here they have deep pockets

a few problems with net access but they seem to have that under control now

Bodog is a fine book, I am just curious that's all. I am in no way bashing this book, it is probably my favorite.

Not complaining and not saying they are not a good book who has the cash. Players simply should be aware of how they practice business.

I opened an account with Bodog on 9/5 with a
$1000 deposit. I am winning $300. I made 4
wagers there and they profiled me after the
third bet. After three bets they know for sure
I won't bet a favorite and won't deal me a public line. I guess the key on your first bet
is to lay a bad number then they will be confused and it will probably buy 4 or 5 more
bets on the good dog line.
