What's ironic..the WWE ended up taking over all of Wrestling after the NWA and Nitro folded...somehow that seemed to be the end , wrestling peaked IMO once the Turner lost his division .

Slick is actually a paster in the south, Akeem and the One Man Gang are the same person so i believe you meant the twin towers Akeem and the Big Boss Man, Akeem I have no clue what is going on with him and sadly the Big Boss Man died last year.

AWA fan myself. Verne Gagne, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, Mad Dog Vachon, Wahoo McDaniel, Buck "Rock n Roll" Zumhoff, Mr. Saito & Mr. Fuji, Hulk Hogan, "Big" John Stud, Jesse "The body" Ventura, the list is endless.

That's when wrestling was realy fun. It was more carnival/circus/state fair than it was Hollywood, which it is now.

My favorite Bobby "The brain" memory's are

1) Him being thrown into the ropes and instread of flying off them chin first as was the custom, Bobby hooked the ropes with his elbow leaving the other wrestler to fall to the canvas after his flying kick attempt fell about three feet short. Heenan then smirked at the crowd and tapped his temple while they booed him.

2) The weasel suit.
