I'm a Bucks fan, know who Bobby Simmon is, and am surprised by the latest news:

Simmons was arrested by Milwaukee police on Monday after an incident Saturday in which a woman said he fondled and punched her. He was released the same day on $700 bail and has not missed any practice time with the Bucks, who opened their pre-season training camp Tuesday.

The district attorney's office is investigating complaints of misdemeanor fourth-degree sexual assault and misdemeanor battery, although no decision has been reached on whether to issue charges.

What are the opinions on this guy? He hasn't put on the uniform yet and is in trouble. This looked like a good move in the off season, now this arises. any thoughts???

Bobby Simmons is 100% class. Look at these charges...this is a woman crying wolf for money if I have ever seen it. WTF is 4th degree sexual assault???

If he "fondled and punched" a woman, he would not be released on $700 bail.

Just my opinion.

agreed. this does seem like BS. I really like the Simmons addition with a questionable TJ Ford. I think the bucks are going to the playoffs!

PG - Ford / Mo Williams
SG - Redd / Simmons
SF - D Mason / Welsh
PF - Gadziric / Joe Smith
C - Bogut / Ervin Johnson

Looks like the Bucks could be a 7th or 8th seed. I hope they beat out the Knicks!!!!

I cant wait to see the NETS ONCE AGAIN run the KNICKS off the floor with a healthy RJ, JKIDD, and VINSANITY!!!

Eddie Curry for 10 million a year for 16 points and 5 rebounds for a center is a not too good.

Nenad Kristic will average more boards than that next year!

As long as injuries don't deplete the roster, the bucks will make a serious run at the 7th or 8th seed. GO BUCKS!

I think the Bucks will get in...the 7th and 8th spots are wide open in the East. I think they really overpaid for Simmons, but he was a nice addition. They are a decent team...and that is all you have to be to make the playoffs in the East. A lot of mediocre/poor teams in the bottom half of the East.

Am I the only one who is not sold on the Bucks? Their frontcourt is below average. Bogut will be a decent player in this league, but not worthy of the number 1 overall selection. I dont see him having a huge impact this season. I do like the addition of Simmons, but I just dont see that being the factor to get them over the top. Redd has to be the most overrated player in the league. The fact that he got a max deal is laughable. He is, for the most part, a one dimensional player. Bucks dont have many players who defend and as a team are not a good defensive unit. Ford is a question mark coming back from injury. I look at them as a team that will surely upset some teams, but not a playoff team yet.

Miami, Indiana, Detroit, Cleveland, and New Jersey will get in. That leaves 3 spots open. I like Chicago to get in as well. I would go with New York, Washington, and Philly over the Bucks. Just my 2 cents!

I am not sold on the Bucks...that's for sure. They are just another below average team, but they are in the East. It doesn't take much to get into the playoffs.

Chicago, New York, and Milwaukee will be battling for the final 2 spots in my opinion and I think they can slide in.

Regardless of who gets in...none of the bottom 4 playoff teams in the East will stand a chance of going anywhere.

The poor defensive unit has been blamed on Terry Porter, who was dismissed. H Kohl brought in Terry Stotts (sp?), who is unproven, but is really well liked for some reason. Maybe he's the product of the NBA coaching carousel, but I guess we'll see.

No worries on Simmons. I went to DePaul with the guy and he is a class act!
