Bucking President Obama and party leaders, Blue Dog Democrats will support GOP legislation to bolster security checks on Syrian and Iraqi refugees, the group announced Wednesday evening.
"In the wake of the horrific attacks in Paris, we must step back and reassess our existing procedures for admitting and monitoring refugees from Iraq and Syria," Rep. Brad Ashford (D-Neb.) said in a statement.

I have a theory, a question and a theory. Here goes....

Theory: These people are not getting in here in large numbers after today, no matter what. It's an 18 month PITA for them. IMO a terrorist isn't going to go through this process. Now is it possible someone could get in here as a young child and become radicalized later? Of course.

Question: How much money does it cost the taxpayers for this fight we're about to have in congress that may or may not result in it making it more difficult for a terrorist scumbag to get in here? If we are 99.82% prepared in screening these people now, and we wrangle over it at a cost of 10 million dollars to make us 99.83% prepared is that worth it?

Theory: Ths is a waste of time and resources. We need to lead the fight in the battle against global jihad by first eliminating their territorial control. Build a coalition between US and European powers to bomb them from the skies and let the Arabs and Kurds sweep up on the ground. Then make a deal with Putin to rid the scum Assad. This ends all refugee wrangling because now they can go home. It also keeps the Iranians out, and Fuck them. Finally, combine with other intelligence agencies to foil terrorist plots before they are carried out..... We need to do this right, for once. I would bet several terrorists plots have already been stopped in the planning stages from info gathered since the Paris attacks.
