nah, his daughter was all kinds of fucked up, she was in the sorority right behind my fraternity and she got kicked out for drug use and some other things, snyder took time off to fix his family and get shit straight, i do agree hes old and the game might have passed him, but from who i think would be willing to come to kstate right now, hes the best

Snyder is a living legend and I doubt anybody works harder considering his notorious 18 hour work days and 1 meal per day , Former Snyder assistants complained they would work over 100 hours per week, but that is the kind of motivation Snyder has--------Snyder used to say when he was a kid that his Mom would tell him that there are only 24 hours in a day so make them count--Obviously, he took that advice to heart

ron prince was a horrible hire, why would u hire someone with no experience whose team struggled on offense, when that was his coaching position. Its not like virgina put up massive numbers under him. I think it was a minority reach and a bad one at that.

Actually that was never really his thing, he specialized in troubled Juco transfers instead.

This is actually not a desirable job at all for a BCS job. It's going to be extreemly difficult to get this team back on it's feet again with the emergence of Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas and probably Colorado dominating the North Division in the future...I don't see Snyder or anybody else being able to get top recruits of that school. He's a dollar short and a day late to the dance..I would rather take the Syracuse job than the KSU job. At least you have a chance to win and go to a bowl in an 8 team Big East. I would say Snyder has almost no chance to have a winning program at KSU.

the K-State offense is above average----Snyder is old-school and usually had an above-average defense and a physical running game with a mobile QB----Snyder's teams are a combination of Alabama and Georgia Tech---He can get Georgia Tech type talent at minimum, but probably not Alabama-level talent----Sure, he used JUCOS, but guys like Terence Newman, Ell Roberson, and Darren Sproles were 4 year guys

Obviously, Bama doesn't have a mobile QB , but their physical style of play is K-State like (under Snyder)

My favorite player was Chris Canty, the DB. Whatever came of him? I remember he got in a big war of words with BYU QB Steve Sarkisian during the lead-up to their bowl game the year that BYU went like 14-1 and almost won the NC. This must've been back in '95 or '96 or so.

I lost count the number of times I cashed on Bill Snyder in the bully role as a Non-Conference Home Favorite against weak teams, He used to run up the score and I loved it

Snyder is going to find out that this isn't 15 years ago when all he had in the north was Nebraska & sometimes Colorado to compete with. He's not only going to have a hard time finding 4 star recruits, he's going to have a tough time getting quality jucos. I wish him the best. I think he was a great coach for what he had to work with back then..But the competetion is much tougher now in the Big 12. Something else to remember about his success back then..He had a great coaching staff that included Bob Stoops, Venables and Mangino..This had alot to do with getting this program back on it's feet..And nobody could recruit like these guys.

Now its time for Snyder to steal some of his assistants back that Stoops stole from K-State. We are back. Missouri is losing their top players. Nebraska is still rebuilding. Iowa State still stinks. Colorado is impotent on offense. Kansas will lose Reesing. We can come back quicker than most think.

Go For It...Snyder isn't going to get any of OU's assistants..KSU is in one of the worst geographical areas in the country. And the Big 12 scene has changed considerably even in the last 4 years since Snyder last coached. The KSU job will be one of the hardest in the country for any coach coming in. This is the big reason why they couldn't get a big name coach come in after Snyder left the first time..No name coach will take this job.
