The last time Ole Miss won a SEC Title was 1963. That is why the game against Saturday is gigantic. Furthermore, Ole Miss comes in off a bye week. I wouldn't worry about no lookaheads to the Egg Bowl (Ole Miss vs Miss. State) either. From a technical standpoint there is a system on Ole Miss that many handicappers have some form of it. You want to play on Home Dogs WITH REST and REVENGE OFF A SU Win. This usually hits around 75%. There are a few extra parameters which Ole Miss qualifies in also to bring the system up to 83%. Most of the public saw LSU destroy Alabama on national tv last week. This plays into public perception and gives Ole Miss line value. Another public perception is that Ole Miss can't stop the run because of their undersized defensive line. This was the same rationale used when Ole Miss played at Auburn. Obviously, Auburn loves to run the ball alot and lost to Ole Miss in Jordan-Hare stadium. Ole Miss may be undersized, but they make up for it in quickness. Furthermore, defense is played on emotion and the fact they are playing in Oxford, Mississippi only helps this cause. The LSU-Ole Miss game is also a rivalry game (another border state matchup) and was first played way back in 1894. Ole Miss has also covered 5 out of the last 6 games in this series. Take OLE MISS and the POINTS!!!!!!! What are you afraid of? Saban? the #3 ranking? I had Ole Miss last year at LSU and covered at +9 after a 14-13 game. I had Ole Miss two years ago at LSU and won outright as a dog at +10. Ole Miss isn't intimidated by these Bayou Bungholes. Eli will throw the ball up and down the field on defense and get the LSU defense tired. That is how you beat a good defense like LSU. You get them tired. Then after getting tired, they get sloppy. Then they get exposed. GO ELI!!!!!!!!!!

Well.... a nice write-up indeed, but there are a few mistakes in your thoughts:

" wouldn't worry about no look ahead to the Egg Bowl (Ole Miss vs Miss. State) either..."

OK- do you really think LSU gives a $hit about MSU?? Why would they?? That's the last thing on their minds...

"Most of the public saw LSU destroy Alabama on national tv last week. This plays into public perception and gives Ole Miss line value. Another public perception is that Ole Miss can't stop the run because of their undersized defensive line. This was the same rationale used when Ole Miss played at Auburn."

Didn't the same TV crowd that saw the LSU/AUB game see the MISS/AUB game??? Thought they were both on ESPN?

Don't confuse a poorly coached one-dimensional team like AUB with a team like LSU. AUB proved time and time again that: if you stop the run you can beat them. LSU is too strong on both sides to be played like that. LSU defense is too much for MISS and will crush Manning and the Rebs. Wait till the pocket collapses on Eli and the MISS offense is left wondering.....
We’ll see what happens.

LSU 34 - MISS 17

Ole Miss and Auburn was on CBS and not ESPN. Why would LSU care about Mississippi State? The Egg Bowl is between Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Thus, the lookahead would be by Ole Miss which won't happen since this game should be bigger than the Egg Bowl this year. Why? Ole Miss has two rivals. One of them is Mississippi State and the other is LSU. Obviously, beating rival LSU will put them in the SEC Title Game. Consequently, the LSU game is bigger this year. LSU's two main SEC Rivals are Ole Miss and Arkansas (both border states)

Ole Miss considers LSU a bigger rival than Miss St. They don't like State, but they also don't respect them. They respect LSU. BTW, I have a play on the money line for Ole Miss at +240.

Here is a little system that I use that applies here: Take the home dog when they are on a 3 game winning streak or more versus board teams.Ole Miss has won 6 games in a row!Take the points here.

My bad. AUB/MISS game may have been regional...sorry for the mistake, but still think LSU is the play!

Best of luck.

Auburn had a good chance to win that game. Wide open receiver dropped a lob pass in the end zone late in the game. Their defense did a pretty good job against Ole Miss. Haven't decided whether or not I'm playing it, but this year I think that LSU is the side.
