I shouldn't go over (under really) -1.60 but I have found myself making the occassional -2.30 wager. I am very picky about those and don't do it very often at all. You have to win 8 out of ten of those to justify and that ain't so easy. REally, I should stick to -1.60 and below and I'd be better off. But.....sometimes I'm weak. tulsa

For whatever reason, if I like a big favorite -150 or greater, I play it in a parlay. I know it does not help at all, but for me it makes it easier to do. Biggest favorite I ever played in any sport? I bet Tito Trinidad at something like -2500 in a fight in his home country. I figured there was no way he could get dq'ed or the ref. would certainly lose his life.

Price never mattered to me. Pedro going against a bum in his prime was free money.

I never understood the whole "I'll never lay more than ___" theory. If someone is -500 and I feel like there is value then I pull the trigger. Don't get me wrong, I don't find myself betting many big favorites and more often than not I tend to be on the underdog side. I still think value is value.

Years ago I had friend who went to Vegas. I gave him money to bet for me and I said bet Randi Johnson over the A's
He called me and said the ml was 280 and the ticket writer suggested we bet the rl. I said no, bet the ml. Wouldn't you know we won by 1 run. Sometimes a winner is a winner and you have to bet it if you want a winner.

Not much value betting -500
