I think Purdue and Michigan State are definitely going to get bids in my book.

Wisconsin, Iowa, and Indiana can definitely be crossed off this list. I'm going to add Michigan after their terrible 09 year.

I see Northwestern and Ohio State as maybes.

Finally, I really see Penn State's and Illinois going in two different directions. I think Penn State is going to catch fire and even though Illinois keeps winning, I don't think they're going to crash and burn if they keep shooting this poorly.

So my call is Purdue, Michigan State, Penn State, and Northwestern.

i dont see how ur forgetting these

minnisota 18-3
illinois RANKED 19
michigan (beat ucla and duke) still have mich st/purdue/uconn posibles

so i honestly see northwestern only iffy on ur list...but they did beat mich st and minnesota but it hurts that they werent out of conference upsets..same thing goes for penn st..great year but only two wins over ranked and both in conference...need one more minimum. or make it far in tourny

if everything pans out right and a normal team wins big ten tourney (not indiana or wisky or some wacko shit)

then i see legitamently 5 teams for sure ( mich st/ illini/ osu/ minny/ purdue) with two (pennst/michigan/northwestern) on cusp

purdue and michigan st appear to be the only 100% sure locks, illinois and minnesota are pretty close to being there, and penn st northwestern ohio st are gonna be battling it out, wisconsin and michigan in very dire straights right now.

MSU, PU, Illinois, Minny, PSU & tOSU.

tOSU is playing better the longer they go w/out Lighty. After beating PU at home this week they will jump into the picture. UofM will limp to the B10 tourney needing a big run there to get in, won't happen, but that shit offense is made for tournaments. N'west has no chance of getting in unless they run the table home and away or win the B10 Tourn.
UW, Iowa, IU done.

If Lighty comes back at the end of Feb. (50/50), Ill & tOSU will make the deepest runs into the NCAA's from the B10.
PU and MSU are smoke and mirrors.

Here is my predicted order of finish by going through every game and just taking the fav to win, or if its a pk taking the home team.

Michigan St 14-4
Purdue 13-5
Illinois 12-6
Minnesota 10-8
Ohio St 10-8
Penn St 10-8
Wisconsin 9-9
Northwestern 8-10
Iowa 6-12
Michigan 6-12
Indiana 1-17

So with that, I think you'd see the top 6 teams in and Wiscy would need to win the first tourney game vs Michigan and then beat Purdue most likely.

and lol at saying Purdue is smoke and mirrors. When you play good defense you have the ability to win games.

Five minimum get in. Probably six.

Michigan St. RPI #5
Illinois RPI #17
Minnesota RPI #22
Purdue RPI #25
Ohio St. RPI #33
Wisconson RPI #37
Michigan RPI #54
Northwestern RPI #56
Penn St. RPI #66

I would say Mich St., Purdue, Minnesota, and Illinois are locks. Ohio St., Penn St. and Michigan are going to have to at least have .500 records in big ten. Only two of those three get in. The only way sconny and northwestern can get in is to win the Big Ten tourney.

I think Wisky is going to get in. 3-6 conference, 12-9 overall. Remaining schedule:

Home
Illinois
Iowa
Ohio State
Michigan
Indiana

Away
Penn State
Indiana
Michigan State
Minnesota

They can win all those home games. They should beat 2 of the 4 on the road, most likely PSU and IU but I wouldnt be surprised if they won @ Minn. So assuming they trip up once at home they finish the year 9-9 in conference 21-18 out. Now they get into the conference tourny and are probably a 7-9 seed, we will go with 8.

They can win thier first game and then go and play Purdue or MSU. I think they may slide in.

Dude, Illinois is 18-4, they would have to practically run the table with losses to miss the tourney.

I would say...
Minnesota, Illinois, Purdue and Mich St are damn near locks.
Penn State and Ohio State look more likely than not
Northwestern and Michigan are 50/50 at best, classic bubble teams
Wisconsin is very doubtful
Iowa and Indiana are fuhgeddaboutit

I think Big 10 (or 11) will probably get 6 teams....Minnesota, Purdue, Illinois, Mich St. and then 2 of the 4 among PSU, OSU, NW, Mich.

I say this b'cause something isn't right with this team. I can't pinpoint it but they don't pass the eye test. Boilers have hit huge shots to avoid losses at Wisc. and N'West, they will not make the 16 just like last season. You can blame injuries, but if that's the case they'll be using that excuse for their early exit. I think PU has had problems being 'the team' and proposed top dogs. It is much easier to play the game when you are the dog and have the chip on the shoulder, they had that scenario last year. I'd like to see PU and STATE do very well but they are gonna get clipped at a 3 or 4 seed early.

northwestern has a fairly easy schedule left i wouldnt sleep on them.

im pretty sure they got 4 against iowa and indiana

whoever said purdue is smoke and mirrors must be on crack, they are easily the best team in the big 10.

wisky is still in it because of there good rpi, same with the wolverines becuase of 2 big wins.

honestly would love to see wisky or michigan get in because i would be thrilled to go against either inthe first round

I can see more than four getting in. I just can see Illinois dropping three straight at Wisconsin, home against Purdue, and possibly at Northwestern.

I think they're the smoke and mirror team in the Big 10.

In: Michigan State, Purdue, Minnesota, Ohio State, Illinois
Bubble (1-2 teams get in): Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Northwestern
Out: Iowa, Indiana

It's going to come down to the Big Ten Tourney for those bubble teams.
