Big Ten basketball is downright unwatchable and horrendous

What happened to this once great conference? Don't give me the defense BS either. They can't seem to recruit good shooters and the plays they run are lame and predictable. I predict a quick exit from the tourney by all of the teams who make it.

Spartys are the only team that look like they can play and look decent but the rest of the conference is putrid. I think some mid-major teams could play and be competitive in the Little 10

Big Ten definitely doesn't have the top-tier dominate teams. But Michigan St and Purdue are pretty solid. I'd be surprised if they didn't make some noise in the tourney.

Well most Big 10 teams play at a MUCH slower pace than Big East/ACC. Less possessions = less points.
Is faster better? Depends. G'town and Butler have done pretty damn well in recent years playing at a 'slower' tempo.

its defense. purdue, wisconsin, michigan state are traditionally top ranked defensive teams. illini are right up there and minnesota has one of the best defensive coaches in tubby smith now in the big 10.

the pace is slower. same people that complain about this hate the 81-80 basketball games. i prefer a defensive struggle over a 95-93 unc wake forest game.

Yeah, because the Big East has like 5 or 6 teams better than all of the Big Ten.
Big East is by far the best conf in bball if you ask me. Of course is never hurts having 16 teams lol.
I'd rank the Big Ten 4th or 5th. behind Big East, ACC, Pac 10 and maybe Big 12

The joke is that they will get 7 teams in the tourney..
Mich St is good but UNC handled them
Purdue is 2nd best and Duke handled them both at home 2
Then you have Minnesota
Illinois
Penn St
Michigan
Ohio St
Northwestern
Wisconsin
None of these teams scare me nor are they better then Oklahoma, Texas, Baylor or Kansas on a neutral floor. Mich St and Purdue are the only teams that could play with them. Texas won at Madison, Clemson won in Champagne

its big 10 mentality. the best offense is a good defense. good defense creates turnovers which creates easy scores. this is a defensive conference, and a solid conference top to bottom.

Dude, it's one game? BC lost to Harvard. UNC lost to BC. Even the great teams (not saying IL is one of them) look shtty on nights.

big 10 is a good conference. each conference has there own style. ncaa tourney decides whos the best. i love big ten hoops though.
