Granted. Maybe not bad, bad, but they sure as hell won't be going to anything better than the Citrus Bowl once again. After all, you can't spell Citrus without USC!

They went to the Outback Bowl last year.

I just think it was a bad spot for Ole Miss. I never thought they were the #4 team in the country, but I think they're a lot better than what you saw last night. I don't think it helped them that this was their first competitive game whereas SC has been in a couple of dog fights (pun intended). Definitely not a "bad loss" it was a loss to the opposite division. The game that matters is two weeks from tomorrow. Win that game, and Ole Miss is going to Atlanta (and no, that's no easy task).

Houston Nutt will come in and promise the world, and let you down. I have been on the sidelines and it is miss communication with everyone on the offense! Look at how they worked the last 5 min........we lived this stupidity for a long time @ UofA....

I don't see how any Ole Miss fan can criticize Houston Nutt. Before him Ole Miss was insignificant. Now, at least people are talking about them. He can recruit, and will have Ole Miss in contention going forward

They never deserved their ranking to begin with. It was based on a win against a TT team who did not give two shits about that bowl game. Throw in the fact they returned some guys & the typical SEC bias & it leads to an inflated ranking.

They played cupcakes tonight & it showed when they faced a team with a pulse.

Yep Texas Tech didnt care about the Cotton Bowl played in Dallas

their recruiting base :ohno:

I do agree that Ole Miss was overrated THIS year

They may have returned a few skill position players

but were missing big parts of their Oline....

Ole Miss will probably finish 8-5

They are 3rd in the SEC West at best

Between JBLonghorn and EGD, there have been some dumb posts in this thread.

Ole miss shit the bed. period. they didnt get the ball to mccluster at all (4 times through the first 3 quarters), snead looked terrible, but they did still have a shot to win in the 4th.

They will be alright this year. Dont count em out yet.

Ole Miss was out coached.

The Rebels offense game plan was shut down quickly. For the life of me I do not understand why they did not stick with the run game. The run game was working and they have a stable of backs. They kept going to the pass game and the QB was way off.

The SC defense played very well. The D-secondary took the WR core out of the game. The WR could not even run routes.

The Rebels offense of cordinator could not adjust his game plan. He should of gone back to the run to set up the pass. What really amazes me is that they did not do that. They had success with the wild cat but would not continue to run it for an entire drive.

This was a huge misconception coming out of that game which I believe led to a bloated number. Georgia had a little over 300 yards of offense against Carolina's D. But they had over 250 return yards. Which is a big reason they were able to put so many points on the board. Combined between the two teams there was 410 kick return yards.
