tough beat with saint liam; was going to play him, but he was the worst kept secret in town today as he was bet down to 5:1 in a field of monsters. i thought they should have taken down peace rules twice, but that would violate the cardinal rule at the track -- never, never, never, ever take down jerry bailey.

i'm still seething about the pick 6 today- i hit my single in the 7th race with gems of wisdom, who won by a nose, had the first two legs nailed and had 7 horses in the third leg and did not find the winner (a firster by a win-early sire). also had two in the feature, they ran 2nd and 3rd behind very vegas. i've never been so "around" a monster before... oh well, huge carryover for wednesday. the pool will be over $3M.
