I am new to these forums, but I have been around so hopefully I can be of some assistance to some folks. GLTA
I will post my picks and following my 10 and 5 units picks I will have a write up.My 3,2, and 1 unit picks will have some explanation but not any long drawn out write-up. Thanks
My Record for this year is as follows:
10 UNITS (1-0)
5 UNITS (1-0)
2 UNITS (1-0)
1 UNITS (9-7)
58%, +18 UNITS
My 10 Unit play for this week is:
Baylor -2 v. Southern Methodist.
I know I know, but Baylor is 7-0 v SMu in their last 7 meetings. And 7-1 in their last contest with non-conference opponents. Baylor needs this one in order to contend for local recruits around the great state of Texas. Southern Methodist allows opponents somewhere int he neighborhood of 36 ppg. Last meeting between these two ended in a 48-7 win for the Bears. @ awful teams but my numbers have it as 20-10 final in favor of the Bears. BEARS 20, SMU 10
5 UNIT PLAY OF THE WEEK.
Oregon -11.5 at Arizona
Arizona is awful. They are already waiting for basketball in Tuscon. I'm just sorry I didn't put my mortgage on the Bayou Bengals last weekend. Wildcats boast a 14-38 ATS at home record now. Tow much on both sides of the ball here for the Cats to withstand. The only way this couldn't happen is if the Ducks got ahead of themselves here. But even then I'm sure they would win by 2 touchdowns. OREGON 35- ARIZONA 10
3 UNITS GAME:
Boise State -21.5 at Idaho
C'mon! This is a joke, but it still remains a only a 3 UNIT play because i don't typically like spreads like this, even though we are dealing with the spread destroyers here. Idaho is a terrible, awful, horrible team and will be 1-AA shortly. Boise State does have Oregon State the followinng week, but they are a well disciplined team and will handle THE Potatoes, LOL, easily.
Boise State 45- Idaho 7
2 UNIT PLAYS:
Iowa -4 at ISU. Iowa still working on becoming a premiere program. Only a 2 star because of the in state rivalry and road game. Iowa 28- ISU 21
Louisville +3 at Syracuse. Louisville off impressive SU win v. Kentucky as the dog. Just good enough to beat Syracuse ont he road.
Louisville 24 - Syracuse 17
Memphis +5.5 at Southern Miss. Southern Miss has a great defense with a pitiful offense to match. Scored all their points at UAB of TO's and was lucky to do that. Memphis however, should be ready for the letdown loss- but not this year, Winprine and WIlliams roll the Eagles in Hattiesburg.
Tigers 28 - USM 13
BYU -3 at New Mexico. BYU has Bronco Mendenhall calling the X's and O's on their sideline now and will be extrely resourceful against the Lobo's. Impressive play against USC last week will give them the confidence and motivation to prevail in theis one.
BYU 30 - NEW MEXICO 21
1 UNIT PLAYS
Mississippi State -3
West Virginia -7 buy the half, -6.5
Wake Forest -1.5, alot of naysayers on this one but hey go Deacs.
Notre Dame +10
Vanderbilt +12, keep waiting for AUburn to bust out but I mean DAMN!
Thanks for your time and I hope this helps.
