Big East Opener (BC @ UCONN)

Guys -

I love the Huskies and Boone is playing solid as of late (averaging a double double last 4) - But something tells me that 9 is too much to lay here.

BC is 11-0 to start and playing well - they knocked off UMASS on the road by double digits where as the Huskies lone loss came at UMASS 61-59.

Neither team has been tested yet (soft schedule) and Huskies have won last 9 vs BC in Hartford. . .I think UCONN wins here but the number seems to be inflated.

I am thinking of playing BC +9 (small) since I will be watching the game as a fan anyway.

Thoughts. . .

Uconn/BC

I have followed Uconn very closely this yr. living in Ct., I have watched all the
games but one. Uconn gave up 11 3pointers to lowly Central Ct. State and gave
up 8 3pointers to Sacred Heart. Now maybe this had alot to do with the fact both teams were having trouble pounding the ball inside on Uconn. But the fact
remains, giving up that many 3's to lousy teams is a bit too much. Uconn has
had a high turnover rate, poor FT shooting lately and Anderson has been cold
shooting 3's. Coach Calhoun has not settled on a starting 5, and players are
trying to fit in the rotation. The talent is there but they are not running on all
cylinders at this point. BC has been giving Uconn plenty of trouble lately, and
this game is being played at the Hartford Civic Center and not a Gampbel
Pavillion on campus. There is a difference.
The point is, giving 9 pts to BC is alot, I see this as a close game and Uconn
hoping to squeek out a "W" at home.

UCONN turnovers

There you have it, when your point guard turns the ball over twice in the final
minutes in a close game its tough to win. BC played a heck of a game and came
away with a great win on the road.
