New orleans is good at home but that nice win last week came against ranked #32 defense in the leauge, while they should face a better defense this time.

be careful...the new orleans passing attack is going to EXPLODE. no way does sean payton hold brees back when he's so close to shattering marino's record. look for the air attack, big time - lots of points

stay away from carolina on the road

:think2: why? they took the Giants - the defending Super Bowl Champions and arguably the best team in the NFL - to overtime last week, in New York. a game Carolina still thinks they should've won.

I feel like I know the NFC South very well and I would agree with this statement if it was any of ther other 3 teams in that division you were making it about. But not about the Panthers. They're good. Period.

John Fox and the Panthers defense know two things...
1) the Saints running game is hurting, literally (Pierre Thomas might be out, Bush is out, and Duece is suspended).
2) Drew Brees needs 402 yards to catch/pass Dan Marino's single season passing record and the coaching staff will give him every chance to throw. What else do they have to play for?

...with that in mind, they won't be fooled much as by the play actions (since they won't respect the Saints ground game) and stick to covering the receivers.

This game has a recipe for disaster as the Panthers can blow the Saints out big time.

Keep in mind that Brees flinging it all over to pile up yards has the potential for TO's.

Food for thought:

Delhomme's road stats -- 53.6% comp, 3 TD, 7 Int, 2 fumbles

Carolina 3-4 on the road, New Orleans 6-1 at home

Brees' home stats -- 68.6% comp, 19 TD, 4 Int, 117.2 rating
