A little Birdie told me Big Brown WILL race at Monmouth on Sat Sept 13th.

He will race on the TURF at will be going 1 mile 1/8th. They will be prepping this horse for the breeders cup....The race will be written FOR Big Brown...So ecpect something like an overnight stake of 200K...with a 200K apperance fee for BB.,.......IMO they are dodging all good horses, by writing the race this way....

Dutrow knows he doesn't have the same horse now without the steroids. He finally realized that after the Haskell. He also realizes Big Brown has no shot in the Breeder's Cup Classic and is taking a stab on the turf to see if he takes to it enough to possibly run him on grass. His best races are now behind him. He is a no play for the short remainder of his career IMHO.

Oh there is NO doubt that if BB wins the Turf race he WILL race in the BC...I have Firsthand knowledge that the owners actually THINK they have a superhorse....Not just talking about what they say in the media they think he will beat Curlin........Only if Curlin falls down

For people like me, who don't keep up with horse-racing, that's an interesting take about the famous Big Brown. Didn't the steroid story come out before the Derby? Surprised he was even eligible for that.

At the time of the Triple Crown, steriods were not a banned substance in the states where the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes were being held, so Big Brown was routinely injected the 15th of every month and was on steriods for both the Derby and the Preakness. However, Dutrow decided to take him off steriods for the Belmont stating that he wanted to prove he had a super horse that didn't need steriods to win the Triple Crown. Well, we know the outcome of the Belmont, although personally it is my own belief that the shoe coming loose was the coup de grace in him having to be pulled up at the top of the stretch. In the Haskell he looked very average and was all out to barely win. Horse racing is now going through a transition weening the industry from steriods. The trainers are going to have to adjust their methods to this change in the future to be successful.

There is absolutely NO reason to race Big Brown in the Breeders Cup.
I've been behind him since almost the beginning but.....
A. If Curlin races in it, Big Brown probably will not have a shot
B. Why race such a great horse on the shit poly track.

They f'd up big time by not bringing him back to Saratoga where his career began. I mean come on pick one the Woodward or Travers.

Reason he is NOT at Toga is the Horse cannot win the Travers and they know it...and the Wood??? Forget it Curlin may wind up there and NOWAY do they want to fight him unless there is 5million on the line.......I just got back from 2 weeks at Toga and I have been involved in horse racing for almost 20years.....I was in Love with this horse since before his awesome Fla Derby....YES he is a very good horse...NO he is NOT a great horse....and IMO the steroids have nothing to do with it......Steroids in horse racing are NOT like steroids in Baseball.......We have been giving "hormones" as we call it in racing to horses for over 20 years....Heck Equipose was invented for horses....There was NO taboo around giving it to horses until people starting taking them....You couldn't find a horse NOT on "Hormones" of some sort 1 year ago......Big Brown will barring a freak thing WIN at Monmouth and the if they were smart retire with some obscure injury and ride of into studship.....

Well its confirmed Big Browns next race is exactly as I was told...at Monmouth on Sept 13th on the grass at 1 mile and 1/8th

He should win this setting up a nice matchup in the classic...which he probably will NOT even finish 4th
