I am one of those fools who are going to play Boise st instead of going with crowd favorite Bowling green. So i log into one of my books to check for a good line (i was looking for 6.5 but its at 7 now. It came down all the way from 8)
Here is the weird thing, they are paying $86.95 for every $100 (i post that number purposely like that for a good reason so please calculate it to terms you understand better by yourself)
That is a totally retarded line and i can not make heads or tails of it.
If the line moved from -8 to boise st -7 how the hell would they justify paying out rates like that? It makes no sense at all!!!!
If the book had a rush on BGSU, they would probably drop the line and probably pay it out 11/10 or at even money!!!!
the huge problem is that this is one of the most square books i have ever played at. They dont do too many gimmicks. This shit is twilight zone territory for them. From what i know they wont even let you wager over 2.5k on collge games!!! How could they be faced with a situation here by they have to resort to this tactic... (The current internet max on this game is at 1500.00 if you want higher than that they you have to call in)
Are there any ex bookies in the house who can speculate on what could be going on here?
Could it be that the book wants people on BGSU so bad that they dropped the line by a whole point and are paying 104 dollars for 110 bet if you take BGSU+7?
Thanks in advance!!!
Or may be they are baiting us who read alot into such weird line movement (i was already taking Boise at -8 but only decided to wait when i figured majority on the Rx are playing BGSU!!!! May be they think we shall see that and go heavy on boise!!!
