Betting on NFL Pre-Season Over/Unders <hr style="color: rgb(96, 96, 150);" size="1"> I saw this on another site, thought it was interesting and wanted to share it. These are Trends and I know that trends tend to even out over time.
1. Never bet a pre-season game to go Over the Total if the home team is an Underdog. Since 2001 home dogs have gone 18-44-2 to the Under (71%)
2. Play a pre-season game Over the Total when the O/U line is 34' to 36 points. 19-5 O/U last 4 seasons (79%) Remember, only play the Over when the home team is favored in this line range.
3. Play Under the Total in an expected High-scoring game. When the O/U line is 42-44 these games have gone 2-7 to the Under in the last 4 seasons (78%) Exception: In the last 9 years there were only two games where the O/U line was Really high (46 or more points) Both games went Over the Total (2-0 O/U)
4. Go Under with a low O/U line.. But go Over with a Really low O/U line. When the O/U line is 31'-34 these games have gone 7-20 to the Under in the last 4 seasons (74%) Finally, when the O/U line is 30-31 these games have gone a Perfect 4-0 to the Over!
