What is the problem with this book today, I had to wait at least 10 minutes just to see the Basketball lines for today. I think I might have to take out my money, if I can't bet the games why have money in the account.

Anyone else having problems today??

I haven't been able to get in either. It isn't uncommon for them to have problems during heavy traffic times. It can get to be annoying that is for sure.
Not a great place to play if you prefer to do all your wagers online. I am sure they lose alot of business. I placed most of my bets at Pinny today.

I have enjoyed my small testing out time with Royal and find the bonuses and customer service is top notch, but you are correct about the site being slow. I can only hope they fix it soon. I dont know if you guys have tried the alt. site...... www.betroyal1.com . It seems to work better for me, but still slow.

Only complaint I have about this book. It can really lag at times. I try to avoid making a bet there if it 5 minutes or less till tipoff for this reason.

Mr. Jones..I've tried using both sites and the Alt one listed as Bet Royal 2 is just as slow because the way it needs to be activated; and each category accessed. I was with Royal Sports years ago and rejoined Super Bowl Sunday to "test the waters" to see if i wanted to come back to Bet Royal and move money out of my Costa Rica Accts. Your Customer service is as excellent as I remeber. But your site needs to be updated as is very slow , especially at crunch time within a few minutes of tip-off ; especially on busy weekends and trying to access first half lines. I spoke to two of your acct mngs specifically about not posting first halfs on NCAA Games in many cases until and hour before tip-ff. This isn't normal or convenient.

I also had a major problem a week ago when I needed to place a wager through a handwritten ticket with your csd and three acct mngs couldn't get it right. It took a week till I got in touch with Mr. Drake and he corrected it immediately without any questions! Your Acct Mangers were very helpful and said they would follow through with you, but apparently never did.

I spoke to a wagering clerk by phone yesterday to place wagers due to the site lagging again. He told me the site is slow due to your recent move last week to Costa Rica. As previously stated, I joined here on 2-6-05 to get out of the shady Costa Rica Market. Why wasn't I told this when I rejoined? And if the wagering clerk was correct, then most of my problems were due to your move from Curacao and not site maintenance as I was told over and over by your csd. Why not be honest and tell it like it is, so your members can make informend choices and decisions.

One more thing. I've been chasing down trying to get my sports pager mailed to me as promised when I signed up. Was told that you sent out a mailing from here in the states 10 days ago, and that I should have already received it. Is the delay related to your move too?

I would like to refer many of my friends whom are unhappy with their current sportbooks. Just need to be assured that the "Royal Experience" and history of excellent customer service be fine tuned along with a more efficient site and commitment to honesty and integrity.

The accounts department is a little slow as well. Requested a withdrawal on 2/23/05, and was told I would receive my Fed Ex within 3-5 business days. I called today to see if they had a tracking number, and when the lady came back she said that I should call next Wednesday and they would have a tracking number for me then. Sorry, but today is already the 6th business day, and now I'm told that I'll have a TRACKING NUMBER next Wednesday? That would be no big deal if they hadn't told me that I should have had the package by yesterday. Why do sportsbooks do this? Do they have some allergy to correctly estimating the amount of time that it takes to issue a check, or are they operating on such low margins that one day they can get a check cut and the next day they can't?

I suppose you could call it fishy, except it's nothing that doesn't happen throughout the industry. I just don't understand why some people rave about the customer service at BetRoyal when in my brief experience they're no better than any other average book. Meanwhile I'm paying a hefty fedex fee for a check that's going to arrive a week or two after they said it would.

Edub, please contact Richard at his email address RichardJ@betroyal.com and explain the situtation, and your unhappiness, and i am sure at the very least, due to the delay, he will waive the fed ex fee, and i wouldnt doubt it if he takes good care of you otherwise.....They have recently moved, and may be unorganized right now, but one thing about Royal, if they do make a mistake, they usually make it up to the player...thats what alot of people mean about their customer service..

Please contact Richard, and tell him i told you to contact him..

I got my check today, so it was practically on time. I still don't know why they told me I would have a tracking number next Wednesday though. At any rate, thanks for the offer of assistance.

i had a similar problem with getting a check from them a few weeks back.....took over a week to get to me, but I did call Richard after he posted for me to on here and he was very accomodating and even admitted they are not the fastest when it comes to Fed Ex's checks. I appreciated the honesty very much. I am still having problems with their VERY SLOW website (sometimes it doesnt even work) and I HATE calling in my plays, but if they can work that out sometime soon, I think I'll play with Royal for a long time. Which proves that contests can work for books. I sent money to Royal after winning a contest of theirs. May have never otherwise and now they possible have a customer for life.


EDU.....why did you have to pay for the FedEx check? Had more than one this month?

No, they charged me a $40 fed ex fee for sending me the check, I guess.

Now they are giving my wife an even worse run-around than I received. She asked for a withdrawal on 2/23, and they told her 3-5 business days. She is getting charged a fedex fee as well, by the way, not to mention a $150 credit card fee for not rolling over three times. Anyway, she called on Thursday 3/3, and was told she would be called back with a Fed Ex tracking number that evening. Of course no one called that night, so she called them and some guy told her he didn't know what happened, but that he personally would call her on Friday and give her a tracking number. This guy's name was Jeff I believe. Well, he didn't call either, as expected, and she called back last night and they told her they didn't know anything, and to call back on Monday or Tuesday. I just don't understand this whole procedure...just tell the truth. I don't want to have to come to this forum and whine about it, and I don't want to have to talk to Richard Jones. Just send the money.
