They just made a mistake. There's no valid reason for not getting paid. It was offical.

Call them up.

Side betting

Both teams are priced to win the game with no handicaps applied. When wagering on the money line your team must win the game on the field in order for you to win your bet. For settlement purposes overtime counts.

If a game is 'called', or suspended, winners and losers for betting are official after at least 5 full innings of play unless the home team is leading after 4½ innings. If a game is 'called', or suspended etc, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning (unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called). Please note that suspended games do not carry over

call 'em up - they are wrong. as long as the game goes 4.5 innings with the home team up or 5 regardless - the game is official and if 1 team is ahead they are declared the winner.,

like i said - email or call them and speak to someone besides a CSR and i sense you will get credit for the win - for i know there are many others in the same situation as you.

crude- It all depends what type of bet you made. If you played Toronto before the game, then you get paid. If you bet them "in running" after the first pitch, then the game is "no action". I used to have an account there but I closed it recently.

Let's becareful here, although Crudebar's brief explanation shows that 365 is 100% wrong we should hold out for the entire story ..

.. remember, Crudebar & his "grandpa" were the subject of a Homebets scamming attempt last year.

Crude - the only thing I can think of is if you bet on the "game in process" stuff they have. That is different from betting the game before it starts like most books offer.

Post exactly what happened and I will make a call on your behalf.

If you would like to contact me so we can discuss your query, please telephone us here at Customer Services or email customer.services@bet365.com and put your email for my attention.

By way of explanation of our rules for suspended games. This is taken from the bet365 website:

Side Betting
If a game is 'called', or suspended, winners and losers for betting are official after at least 5 full innings of play unless the home team is leading after 4½ innings. If a game is 'called', or suspended etc, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning (unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called). Please note that suspended games do not carry over

Total and Run-line betting
When betting on total runs (over/under) or run-lines, the game must go to 9 innings (8½ if the home team is ahead) to have action

In Game Betting Rules (aka in-running)
Moneyline/total/run-line - 8½ innings rule applies.

8 1/2 innings rules
The game must go at least 9 full innings (or 8½ innings if the home team is ahead) for bets to have action, unless specified otherwise.

Therefore, if your wager was on the side and was placed during the game, it would have been made void. The game was called during the bottom of the eighth.

I look forward to your assisting you with your query.

MLB

GAME 917-918

TORONTO AT NY YANKEES GAME HAS BEEN CALLED IN THE BOTTOM OF THE EIGHTH
INNING DUE TO RAIN WITH THE TORONTO BLUE JAYS LEADING 8-0.
TORONTO IS DECLARED THE WINNER ON THE SIDE WITH NO ACTION ON THE TOTAL
OR RUN LINE.

Off The Don Best. No excuse for not paying the man on his side bet.

Eh - it may have been bet on the side but it was an interactive type of bet. After the game starts and as the game goes on you can bet on the game at certain prices. No way can you pay these if the game does not go the entire length. Heck they could have had a price up two pitches earlier and the game suddenly ends prematurely. No way can they pay off if the game does not go in it's entirety on bets placed after the game is underway. You may be thinking he bet the game before it started like most wagers.

Let me give you an example. Right before halftime they may have a price on the Bucs to win the game. They are getting beat by 10 points but you think they will win in the 2nd half so you bet one of these in progress bets like he had in the baseball game. Somehow the game is called at halftime, should you not get your money back since it was not completed? It's a bad beat for Crude being as his team is up 8 runs I could understand being pissed but the book is doing this properly, by their stated rules.
