in college it's much more difficult to beat the same team twice in one year. I would bet if someone checked the records the loser covers if not wins outright 70% plus over history.
For example see tenn./lsu 2 years ago as the vols slaughtered the tigers by more than 30, yet lost outright in sec title game, costing the vols a shot at the national title.
