Mine is Wag The Dog. Mammet is probably the best American playwrite and screenwriter at this point in time. Brilliant concept. Moment to moment writing amazing. No one writes dialogue like him. Levinson does a superp job of directing. What a cast. What I think is one of Hoffman's best performances. Deniro great as always. And check out the ensemble supporting cast. Anne Hace, Woody Harrelson, Andrea Martin, William Macy, Dennis Leary and a shitload more. Watched it again last night and laugh my stones off. One of the best dark comedies ever made.

Lawrence, a true classic, and probably Jimmy Stewart's best performance outside of It's A Wonderful Life. Didn't see the remake.

American President has a great line when Michael Douglas is about to give ol Annette Benning (???) the ol Presidential pardon and reminds her that "just because I am known as the most Powerful man in the world ..."

Robert Redford in the Candidate.I havent seen too many but I caught this one night on some channel late night after rolling in after hours.It kept me from passing out....a good movie.

Candidate was a great flick. Very thought provoking. It was indeed Anthony Hopkins who played Nixon. What a performance. And to Stone's credit, he presented a human side to Nixon. JFK could have beed a very good flick if Stone would have kept his focus. Hit us with everything but the kitchen sink. Should have cut half an hour off it.
