Arizona vs Stanford

Stanford week 1 beats Navy 41-38, however Navy has more first downs (23-22), more offensive yards (458-416), and wins time of possesion by 4:00, but Stanford is +1 in turnovers.

Stanford loses to UC davis 17-20 and gets beat in every stat category. That's UC Davis!!

Stanford loses to Oregon 20-44 and loses the offensive yard stat 585-220.

Stanford wins against Wasington St and has more offensive yards (457-407) but also benefits from +2 turnovers.

Arizona loses at Utah 24-27 but actually has more first downs (25-19) but is -3 in turnovers.

Arizona beats N. Arizona 31-12. No big deal.

Arizona loses vs Purdue 24-31 and lost the rushing game 9-239 yards. Purdue is a good Big Ten team with (at that time) a very good defense.

Arizona loses against USC (the best or second best team in the country) 21-42. However, Az was only down 7 points at halftime and omly down 7 points after 3 quarters.

I have to think that Arizona -5 is a gift!

This is the first time AZ has been favored in their last 26 lined games.

I have a good feeling that Stanford will suck more than Arizona will suck. I think that Stanford will suck so much that double digits will decide which team sucks the most.

Not sure about this game, hard to say how bad Arizona's defense is, they've faced the #1, 15, 19, and 28th ranked offenses to get that bad defense impression.

Teasing Arizona isn't a good investment either, teasing through zero and using a college teaser is something bookies love players to do.

Lighten up - just a little sarcasm on "sucks"

I still like AZ. As for another one, I, like Clemson +5-.

Agree Az is not the best in the west. And yes they have had to face Offensive monsters so far but Stanford far from that. Back to back road contests for the Stanford group maybe too much for them. This maybe the only game that Az is favorite and maybe the only one they win too.
Stoops will have em ready to play thats for sure. After then hanging in there with USC that surely specks well for them, as i dont think Stanford could do that.
Besides the offense here is what i am concered with more than the defensive side of the ball.
Az not used to being the chalk as someone just posted to maybe that will egnite spark and they actually win one by about 7. JMHO

obtw The Pac-10 is the most difficult conference to pick winners in there is, for me anyway and others here at the ole Rx. Could be that the backdoor is ALWAYS open as defense's here are not nearly as good as the offense's

I agree that teasing this game (or any NCAA game ) is a bad move. If one were to have to tease this game, I would use Michigan St +12-.

I'm saving my teasers for weeks 15-17 in the NFL where the lines are so sharp that some books won't even accept them.

You're right about teasers, for the player they are best left to NFL only. I wouldn't mess with any college teaser, just not worth it with the increased scoring over NFL games.

Big Jay - Teasing a favorite to +2.5 won't help you in the long-run, but I hope it works out for you. GL

Peter Griffin: "We'll move to England, huh? Worst they got there is, you know, drive-by... arguments..." [Meanwhile, in England.] Englishman: I say, Jeremy, isn't that Reginald B. Stifworth, the young upstart chap who's been touting the merits of a united European commonwealth? Jeremy: Why yes, I daresay it is. Englishman: Oh, let's get him! [They drive up.] Englishman: Oh Reginald!... I disagree! [drives off]"

King Jim's last post reminds me of a "Family Guy" episode. :lolBIG:
