Forget betting lines or figuring out angles to wager, the two games I'm most looking foward to watching just because I think they'll be great games are:

HOLIDAY BOWL - Oklahoma State vs. Oregon
Pretty much every season this bowl ends up being one of the very best games around. I expect that to be the case in 2008 as well. Could easily come down to the last possession and end something like 48-45.

COTTON BOWL - Ole Miss vs. Texas Tech
Over the last few weeks of the season the Rebels were playing as good as any team in college football. Tech hit a real downer at the tail end of their season before shaking off their mopiness and coming back to edge Baylor. If they don't bring their "A" game they'll have a hard time keeping pace with Ole Miss.

How about some other nominations for excellent non-BCS matchups?

Poinsettia Bowl as well. TCU v. Boise St. San Diego has two of the best bowls!

Arizona vs BYU

Pittsburgh vs Oregon St

TCU vs Boise St

Northwestern vs Mizzou

LSU vs Georgia Tech (will be hilarious to see how badly Les Miles gets out coached)

Both great Over bets. Add in Rice/W Mich, NW/Missouri, and Ball St/Tulsa you have yourself 5 games that should all hit 70+

All will have incredibly high totals though also. Ole Miss/Tech is definitely a game that could go under a lot like last years bowl game of Tech vs UVA. Granted, UVA had a better defense and a worse offense than Ole Miss, but I'd still say that Ole Miss' strength could be their defense.

I feel bad for Rice, they play in about 3 bowl games every 50 years and their game isn't even on ESPN, it's on NFL Network instead....where's the love for Clement to Dillard???

I wish Rice had wound up playing Air Force in the Armed Forces Bowl instead of Western Michigan in the Texas Bowl.

Ole Miss ball coach will have the play book WIDE open. Game will eb on grass which will slow down TT defensive speed. Ole Miss defense will hve no chance of stopping TT offense, baring a Leach departure.

AA....With the exception of USC, OSU will be the most athletic team that Oregon has faced all year. I'm curious to see how they deal with OSU's 4 headed monster of Robinson, Bryant, Hunter and Pettigrew. And Ole Miss will be a very difficult team for TT to deal with. The Rebels got so good in the last month of the season. And I made alot of money betting on this team this year. It's going to be hard for me to go against them here.

Like Cotton and Holiday but the Sun Bowl should be good, too.

I've been fading Pitt for two weeks and eventually I think I'll hit against them. I find them highly overrated and think McCoy is all they really offer.

Speed at WR, which you don't see in the Big East for the most part will do Pitt's defense in.

I'm kind of thinking that the ACC games were all close hard fought battles and whomever has to play them is gonna be in for a lickin.

Maybe I'm a homer (Big XII) but I see TT and both Mizzu easily winning by double-digits.

I am very interested in seeing Boise/TCU however

i acutally kinda agree the acc is growing on me, it has no great teams but the middle of the pack in that conference is better then the middle of the pack in most of the conferences i could see a good bowl season for them
