Don't hold me to this, but i think the poster known as "number freak" had an okay year last year.

You've asked a great question, and I wish I had a better answer, because I'm not ashamed to admit that I'd love to find a solid hockey capper whom I could tail all year and make good money.

NHL is hard all that hard to cap really. You just need to be selective and not bet any high juice selections. Do not bet games over -130 ML and do not bet underdogs above +130.

The "toss up" games have the most value, if you look hard enough. I have not seen any other NHL cappers past records so I don't know who the best is, but I will post my selections this year here; though I will likely wait a week or two.

Notes: Bet over's on Toronto games to start off the season until the oddsmakers adjust the lines, this Toronto offense is much different then years past and they should be more effective on the powerplay as well leading to more scoring chances.

Vancouver looks very good tonight, to win, but the line is too high at -147.

Winner101 and Football.Fundamentals

We are still looking for more participants in our annual $300 BetJam year long post up contest. It starts next Tueday, (Oct 13). Considering all the money is returned to the top three finalists plus 20%, (contributed by Bet Jamaica), this is one great overlay.

What do you say?

The best capper on here is probably yourself. Seriously though, I wouldn't place a dollar on any of the cappers hockey predictions on any given night on the forum.
Inconsistency is the word, simply meaning you're going to lose money following any of the cappers here in the long run because nobody can put together a consistent string of victories to be able to put coin in your pocket.
If you do all your research and find the method that's most suited to yourself, then go with it as you'll be much further ahead in the end as opposed to tagging along with anyone for a period of time on the forum.
Happy skating!

that's about the best advice you can get right there.

if you're really interested, then do your own digging..

it's much more satisfying when you pick your own winners,
and it really sucks when you're unsure and end up tailing someone's pick that ends up losing..

it's fine to keep tabs on guys throughout the year to see more or less, who knows what's going on.. perhaps tailing occassionally.. but for the most part, unless you're tailing religiously, which i don't think anyone does, it's probably not going to be profitable. btw.. stay away from favs!

it isn't just bet the streaks, and teams with deep secondary scoring.

last year it was Ny Rangers unders, Toronto overs, Boston wins, Detroit overs

this year Flyers and Bruins and Caps look like they'll be good.

Hey Quil.......

I agree with Ivan722. He said it perfectly. Do your own grinding and digging of info. I do think it ok to read through other people's post but only to seek info that you could have possibly missed yourself. (Example.......half the Black Hawks team has the flu.........someone heard or read that and you didn't know it.......now that you read it...you could check it out further......especially if you were on the hawks.)

Yep simply following someone else picks......won't help improve your own handicapping and in this business...that is a bad thing!

Good luck to you....
