Ed O'Bannon - Artesia High. Saw him single-handedly dominate LB Poly in the CIF playoffs.

He was doubled teamed all game and still hitting 3s like they were free throws. Such a smooth stroke, was amazing.

Back in the late 80's there was a basketball player in the central ny area named Bernard Blunt. He scored around 2,600 career points in high school and would have gone big time D1, but he blew out his knee after his senior season. he ended up going to st joe's and having a decent career, but with the medical technology back then he was never the same. When he was in high school he would routinely go up to the dome and play pick up games against with Sherm Douglas, Derrick Coleman, Stevie Thompson and would be the best player on the floor. Needless to say he was one of the best high school basketball players i have ever seen.
also played against Ben Gordon, and Elton Brand in high school they were pretty good

When I lived in Las Vegas, often watched Mike and Gary Maddux pitch and Andre Aggassi play tennis...

I played against Claudio Reyna, he was a sick. The 1989 St. Anthony's Basketball team as a whole was the best HS team I ever saw in person.

Danny Almonte pitching in the LLWS. Just kidding.

Saw Grant Wistrom, Shaq, both play in High School very dominate. Lamar Odom and Speedy Claxton both played on the same High School team and they were very impressive. Im pretty sure Jay Wright offered Speedy Claxton a scholarship to Hofstra when he was a freshman in High School. Claxton accepted and honored his commitment even though he could have gone to any Big East school by the time he was a Senior. At least that's what I was told.

Mike Bibby at Shadow Mountain High School was absolutely insane.

Bibby had some epic battles with Lamont Long who I went to school with. Lamont didn't end up in the NBA but had a pretty decent college career at New Mexico.
