Back in the late 80's there was a basketball player in the central ny area named Bernard Blunt. He scored around 2,600 career points in high school and would have gone big time D1, but he blew out his knee after his senior season. he ended up going to st joe's and having a decent career, but with the medical technology back then he was never the same. When he was in high school he would routinely go up to the dome and play pick up games against with Sherm Douglas, Derrick Coleman, Stevie Thompson and would be the best player on the floor. Needless to say he was one of the best high school basketball players i have ever seen.
also played against Ben Gordon, and Elton Brand in high school they were pretty good
