I can't explain this phenomenon, but it happens more often than not. When the premier cappers on here all agree, the pick usually loses.

For example, tonight Homedawg, Gimme, Serious Addiction, and JBraggs all had Iowa as a top play and it goes down.

Last night the picks were Cincinatti and Tennessee. Same results.

All three happened to be small home favorites. Has anyone else noticed this? Any explanation? I use to increase my wagers when this occurred, but now I'm tempted to fade them.

the same thing used to happen to me...i would follow plays and could never win anything....but while i was following plays i also read writeups as to why they picked that play...i learned very very helpful info to use myself...and now i have my own plays which have been very good...SO FAR...there is alot to learn from homedawg he definitly knows what he is doing and has very good detailed writeups...i have my own little system and you'll get yours....but thats the only way to go is to research your own plays and use ours as guidance....even though i know someone is good doesnt mean i have to agree if it doesnt fit my criteria...examplbtwes tonight are iowa and wright st....i didnt find any value in either one...but others thought they had alot of value....i was also biased on wright st as i am a butler fan...but i had minnesota winning by 5....basically you just need to learn what your betting and you'll be much more successful...btw i was on providence last night and it was one of my biggest plays along with harvard which i got from homedawg...BOL!! and dont blindly follow!!

actually ... I have noticed this as well.
It has happened several times lately.

My top play was Boise. Too bad that is the only one that won.
Luckily I had the FLORIDA GATORS BIG!!!!!!!

I have also taken some hits on these picks. I don't handicap basketball, so I have been following blindly and therefore I have no gripes about the losses. But yes, I have noticed the same thing, especially while watching Iowa shit the bed tonight. Fading may be the answer, or not playing at all. I have never liked betting on hoops, which is why I don't cap my own games. My opinion, probably the worst overall sport to bet on besides baseball. Too many games, can't count on the players to show up, especially the punk ass street thugs that pollute the sport. Do basketball playas still get a per diem for weed?

I keep very good records, and don't understand how I can be losing my ass in cbb when I am tailing 4 of the best cappers on here, all hitting from 57-60% ATS. I realize sometimes they conflict and I omit those, but that should be a wash. I appreciate the advice of those who say pick your own games, but that still doesn't explain what's happening. Following 4 solid winners and I end up hitting under 50% for 8 weeks in colleges. Went 1-5 tonight with: Iowa(JBragg/Gimme/SA), Wright St.(SA), Ark-LR(SA), Boise(JBragg), Oregon St.(Gimme), and Montana(JBragg).

Here are their records:

Gimme 95-73 (57%)

Jbraggs 56-43 (57%)

Serious Addiction 39-27 (59%)

If each play has a positive EV, then the sum of the plays should be positive. I'm missing something. Thanks for letting me sit on my "pity pot."

I'm glad I was your only win ... just playing
Even though I was 1-2 (2-2 if you took my hint on the Florida Gators).

Stupid Montana really screwed us. Should have been 2-1.

Tonight was a tough night all around. Some days are going to be rough, but you have to figure there will be more good days than bad days.

It's a long season.

which book are you playing at,getting the best line and line shopping is the key to this.are you playing at matchbook?

if you are tailing these guys ,is it every play and are you getting the same number at a good price?

going 53% can make you money if you can find a 5 cent line at betphoenix, matchy etc.this isnt hard to make money if you have good money management , and are able to beat the closing line at a few good books.I use kelly to determine + ev wagers but in the end line shopping and sound money management should have you in the positive soon

these guys seem to be having a great year,it sounds like there may be a problem getting a good price and a good number on the games.good luck this year,I am sure it will turn around soon

Honored to be one of the selected ones. Here are the possible causes.

#1 are you playing by unit according to cappers or just playing the plays? I can have a 2-2 night for +4 units but if you play all for 2 units you can come out down .4 units.

#2 are you getting following us exactly on how we play rather then as a whole?
For example. If we are both on the same plays me and SA to each on Syracuse. Do you play for 4 units or two. Because we as a whole would win 4 units while you win just 2.

#3. Patience...to make money you have to play by unit not by %. I will hit my big plays at a very high rate. So be patient and I am sure you will be up in the end as I have confidence in all of us.
