Will post progress of the Alabama team in August. The new players could be very critical to this game and progression of older players thru the summer.
This could easily be the 1st set-up of the season with most playing Clemson because of the starters returning.
Alabama's biggest issue has been their inability to get to the QB which has put more pressure on the DB's. They brought in a 370lb JUCO (Terrence Cody) and a true frosh DL Marcel Dareus who could be the best DL Bama has signed in 10-15 years. Josh Chapman has also made HUGE strides in strength.
If Bama progresses to having a DL in August, this game could be real interesting.

college football and Clemson's "perceived" dominance at Death Valley _at least as a home favorite _ certainly does not show its face at the ticket window.
Over the past eight seasons, Clemson is 15-21 ATS as a home favorite.
If you had played against the Tigers as a HF over that span, you would be cashing at a nice 58 percent.

I would be careful taking some of these teams who are traveling in their first game...I don't like Utah...I have a feeling this will end up a sucker bet that alot of people are going to fall for..This Utah team will be travelling into unknown territory playing a new team and new coach they know nothing about..Something tells me Michigan is going to spring some surprises on them..Fresno +5 at Rutgers also scares me..You need to look at the atmosphere that will be surrounding this first game..Shiano will have his team sky high for this team..And Fresno will have travelled just about as far as you can across the country to play this game..I would like the game a bit more if Rutgers was overrated...But this year I think they're a little underrated..And they're an underrated team in a BCS conference playing a WAC team..I don't think Fresno is getting enough points for me to seriously consider them in this spot.
