So guys how bad is the Belmont gonna be this saturday?? The horse from the Derby is out, the winner of the Preakness is out. So that leaves us with Brother Derek right?

I can just see how slow that day is gonna go by.......

Haven't seen a field yet, but would look for horse that ran in the Derby and misses the Preakness.

Where the hell you been? Anyhow - who was the guy that won 5 Belmonts in a row in the 80's? How'd the play end up? Shalom.

Woody Stephens? Best Belmont trainer ever. Also, front end speed usually does okay in Belmont. Everyone always run closers and fractions tend to be slow. Captain, laid up for 3 days with a nasty flu. Heading stateside tommorow.

Sorry to hear about the flu Judge, Hope you are feeling better. Have a safe and wonderful trip!

Yes, Woody, kept thinking Stevens but couldn't get the Woody part. What a great trainer. I was there one year when one of his horses won in the slop for the Belmont. Conquistador Cielo, maybe?

Dane, to tell you the truth, I'd rather take the week and go to the beach down here.

mmm...

I'll take either over this hot-box of an office.

I'll settle for Thursday and Friday off so I can watch the World Cup...

Belmont, Judge is on point with his Derby-to-Belmont idea... but two closers in the Derby would be among my choices, so long as they get ANY speed to run at. Jazil would be my gun-to-the-head pick right now.

Quick look, Jazil has a shot. Also like Bob and John, Oh So Awesome, and Sunriver. If I get a chance to chart it, will post who I'm on.

HAHA Judge. So true, so true. Unfortunate that I'm from Louisville and started going to Churchill Downs at age 14. Half my life those critters have been around... they've eaten so much of my money but I sure do love 'em, hehe...

What took you so long? I was riding my bike to get the program to Rosecroft at 7-11 when I was 7, okay, maybe 8. LOL!

He was in the Special Class, they were not allowed to use Bikes or anything with sharp objects until they were 14. LOL Just ask Judge he can verify that.

That would be Bob and John.
He is also the only Grade 1 Stakes winner (Wood Memorial) running.
Worth a twenty win and place wager.
